Unix time stamp from HUD: 1571682889
Your characters name: Phil Peterson
Other player(s) involved: ID 77

Specific rule(s) broken:

8. Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  • Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.

  • Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay:

• Cop Baiting - Provoking a reaction from emergency services without a realistic reason.

• Mercy Killing - Asking to be killed by a friend (Killing a friend falls under deathmatching).

• Unrealistic stunt jumping or the use of an expensive vehicle to ram into other vehicles.

• Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for crimes or submerging any vehicle in water.

• Swimming in water for an unrealistic amount of time or without a destination during a chase.

  • Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof.

  • In a situation where a player gets away from an incident where they're being chased/pursued, they must wait 15 minutes before they can logout. Players should not instigate roleplay situations if they do not have time to play it through.

  • Players who ignore answering roleplay commands directed at them, e.g. /do.

  • In a situation where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the same advantages as they have had before their lea

14. Deathmatch (DM)

  • Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason.

  • Examples of valid reasons to attack another player:

• If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property.

• If they report you to the police for a serious crime.

• If they are not in compliance with demands, attempt to escape, or call other players for help in a situation where they are required to display fear under fear roleplay rules.

  • A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands.

  • A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands.

  • If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s).

  • Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt.

  • Attacking another player with no engagement in roleplay is not allowed.

  • Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of:

    1.  Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.)

    2.   Someone is attempting to take your life.

    3.   Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen.

  • You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

Also I will add as I was involved in this situation, Max Rhoades, that before either of these pov's occurred, at the very beginning of the fight, I pulled up on my drag at the end beginning of the wooden planks of the pier. As I was getting off the reported party was driving the opposite way and drove directly at me, narrowly missing me and impacting my bike. I regretfully didnt record but just thought I would add that. IMO both impacts from pov's look like attempts as the driver turns toward each person. I did not take this report as I was involved in the situation, thanks.

Hello and thank you for making the report @phill peterson!

Player ID 152 - Billy_Noonan - @MikeTyson_ - In the POV you linked to support your claim of desync, you are seen making a major left turn towards the person that was running, while you had no obstacle in front of you, why did you do so?

Reporter - @phill peterson - did you make any attempt to contact the person and inform them that you believe they vdmed you? If so, how did they respond?

Victim #2 - @37hh - did you make any attempt to contact the person and inform them that you believe they vdmed you? If so, how did they respond?

The aforementioned parties have 24 hours to respond to their individual inquiries, or the report may be concluded without their response.

Sincerely,

alexalex303 and Brawnkoh

@alexalex303 Thanks for the tag, I didn't inform the reported player as this was in the middle of a massive shootout, due to that alone I believe the reported player should have been recording. Desync is a commonly used excuse for situations like this, there's always slight desync on bikes at high speeds, why would the reported party drive a BF400 through a shootout involving multiple heavy weapons? It makes no sense rp wise and in that time he ran over 3 people, only he would truly see what he was driving torwards, apparently there's no footage of that though.

PLAYER REPORT ACCEPTED

Thank you for your patience while this report was under review.

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, I've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following players:

  • [Billy_Noonan [ID #152]] - [(V)DM] - [Offense #3]

Firstly, I'd like to apologize for the delay in this report. Alex and I were having a hard time meeting up. We did some deliberation on this one and he and I have both come to a decision. I believe the first hit was Desync, and you were attempting to evade that individual. I see he steps into the pathway of the speeding motorcycle which almost appears as if he was trying to get hit to get DM rights on you. However, the second hit looks like it could have been clearly avoided. you appear to swerve into the second individual, and I have a hard time believing this was an accident.

Your last DM punishment from Mickeyyy appears that it should have been DM #2 as you received your first DM from NateX on February 23rd. Somehow, that was missed and you avoided a ban.

We could also hand out a punishment for NonRP #2 for ramming with a bike, but at this point I don't think that will make any difference as the VDM situation will require an appeal anyway.

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.

Regards,

Brawnkoh & @alexalex303
