Player(s) being reported: ID 32 DM, ID 180 NRP
Date of interaction reported: 21/OCT/2019
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1571679908

Your characters name: Vito McClown

Other player(s) involved: Characters seen in the video which were not included in the topic.

Specific rule(s) broken:

14. Deathmatch (DM)

  • Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason.

  • Examples of valid reasons to attack another player:

                • If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property.

                • If they report you to the police for a serious crime.

                • If they are not in compliance with demands, attempt to escape, or call other players for help in a situation where they are required to display fear under fear roleplay rules.

  • A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands.

  • A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands.

  • If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s).

  • Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt.

  • Attacking another player with no engagement in roleplay is not allowed.

  • Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of:

    1.  Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.)

    2.   Someone is attempting to take your life.

    3.   Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen.

  • You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason.

8. Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  • Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.

  • Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay:

• Cop Baiting - Provoking a reaction from emergency services without a realistic reason.

• Mercy Killing - Asking to be killed by a friend (Killing a friend falls under deathmatching).

• Unrealistic stunt jumping or the use of an expensive vehicle to ram into other vehicles.

• Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for crimes or submerging any vehicle in water.

• Swimming in water for an unrealistic amount of time or without a destination during a chase.

  • Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof.

  • In a situation where a player gets away from an incident where they're being chased/pursued, they must wait 15 minutes before they can logout. Players should not instigate roleplay situations if they do not have time to play it through.

  • Players who ignore answering roleplay commands directed at them, e.g. /do.

  • In a situation where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the same advantages as they have had before their leave.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

So I'm sitting in my vehicle, waiting for a friend to end up chopping when a bunch of people arrives and tries to box me in, first instance I try to drive away, but white schafter v12 driver ID 180 slams my vehicle slightly and I am not able to go through and get stuck between it and the old bus, for that action he uses a sports vehicle and does not value it, also he has no right to slam it anyways (although I wouldnt consider this DM as the usage was minor, but the actual move/usage is questionable) and I tried to avoid contact as much as possible since I am in a sports vehicle too. When I reverse back I realise I'm kinda out of options since all my escape routes are closed down, few of people gets out and points guns, which is fine, they can point, but not shoot, I can still use my vehicle since it is working and I am not under fear rp, but my situation is a dead end since I have no way to go, then player ID 32 which is in a passenger seat decides to put a cherry on the top instead of realising that I'm stuck and shoots my vehicle to stall it to which he or a friend of his says something along the lines that it is allowed since I am outnumbered. The plan was obvious, to box me in, but it didn't go completely fine since the third vehicle was too late behind the first two, so the white v12 driver decides to push/slam me which later escalated to a shot fired towards me and my property to make it stall.

Hello and thank you for making the report @Zemaitc!

Player ID 32 - Marcus_Debose - why did you fire on the Schafter?

Player ID 180 - Oliver_Jason - why did you block another vehicle with its engine on using your expensive sports car?

Player ID 12 - Pads_El - why did you block another vehicle with its engine on using your expensive sports car?

Player ID 72 - David_Nickelback - why did you block another vehicle with its engine on using your expensive sports car?

The aforementioned players have 24 hours to reply with an explanation for their actions, or the report may be concluded without it.

Sincerely,

alexalex303 and Brawnkoh

Hey, its ID 32.

The people who blocked the car with their own cars i would like to reference this: https://forum.eclipse-rp.net/topic/27066-id-70-8-nrp-13-fear-rp/?tab=comments#comment-138070 Triads are blocking a TRUCK with an ELEGY.
And for me shooting Vito here was clearly trapped with no way to go, but yet he still pursued trying to get out which he was going to fail which frankly is quite apparent

PLAYER REPORT ACCEPTED

Thank you for your patience while this report was under review.

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, I've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following players:

  • [Marcus_Debose [ID #32]] - [DM] - [Offense #2]

After deliberation with Alex we have come to a decision. Let me preface this decision by stating a few things. There have been a few circumstances where we have ruled FearRP in situations where cars were surrounded. The difference in those situations from this one, were the deciding factors that caused the FearRP. In both of the situations where we have done so, the reported party made little to no effort to escape the situation.

I believe the reporting party here was attempting to escape, and I believe you would agree with that or else you wouldn't have shot the vehicle to stall it. If you didn't believe in your mind that he was going to escape, the round being fired would have made no difference. As such, I don't believe you were in the right to shoot the vehicle here.

I'd also like to state that if DM was on a scale of 1-10, this would surely be a 1. I will also make sure that is communicated clearly during your appeal.  W

Lastly no punishment will be applied to the drivers due to the low speeds the vehicles were traveling at.

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.

Regards,

@alexalex303 & Brawnkoh
