ID 41/15 Mass VDM in NCZ

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: New Players - ID 41 - ID 15
Date of interaction reported: 17/10/2019
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1571290011

Your characters name: Jonny Black

Other player(s) involved:  Stan Abaddon, Russ Stax, Kat Galaxy - And... quite a few more...

Specific rule(s) broken:

1. No Crime Zones (NCZ)

  • A no crime zone is an area where players may not commit any actions considered crimes.

14. Deathmatch (DM)

  • Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason.

  • Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

The two players drove into the Central Medical Ambulance bay and proceed to continuously ram into people. Its pretty clear cut from the video. New people arrived to help... they were taken out too.

No moderators were online so the support staff managed to vote kick them after a short amount of time, however they returned after my footage, but citizens of Los Santos came to our aid, got us into the hospital and saved everyone.

Despite the terrible RP experience this elicited... seeing the community come and defend people that weren't in their "gang" was so heartwarming.

However it still happened...

Evidence of rule breach:

Audio gets a bit weird... sorry for that...

Some context for this.

Earlier in the evening, one of our medivac units responded to  a call , and while they were on scene, one of these two showed up and murdered the patient in front of our medic.   The medic, as per our protocol, used his service revolver to defend himself and attempt to defend his patient, and put down the assailant.   He then put forward a panic alarm and requested assistance.  We called for SD backup (no one on duty) and then PD backup.

I showed up on scene and confirmed my Medic was ok, and the assailant was treated and we waited for PD to show up.    Suddenly a Bus with the second assailant showed up and drove off the road with an attempted VDM.   I pulled my service revolver and demanded he get out of the vehicle.  After a bit (and another attempt to VDM), he complied, and we held him at gunpoint until PD arrived.  Both the original assailant and the Bus driver were taken into custody.   During the RP that followed, many threats were made by the bus driver towards me.   The original assailant, during transport to Central Medical via medevac, jumped out of the helicopter and died (though it was RP'd that he was strapped in).   At this point we thought the scenario was done.

Prior to the events in the video provided by lmoonfire, when most of us were taken down, it was clearly the same two people as mentioned above, "taking revenge".    I can't recall the specifics of what they said, but it was effectively "we said we'd get you for that".

At the end of the day... VDM in an NCZ.  The above context doesn't even matter, but i thought i'd share what triggered this scenario.

PLAYER REPORT ACCEPTED

Thank you for your patience while this report was under review.

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, I've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following players:

  • Fa_Leeker [ID #41] - Mass VDM, Not here to RP.
  • Nathan_Cali [ID #15] - Mass VDM, Not here to RP.

As both players have 16 minutes of playtime on their character and this is a clear case of Mass VDM I've issued the following punishments.

Do Note: If a player breaks a rule (Mass VDM's) inside an No Crime Zone. Beware that you don't break any rules yourself.

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.

Regards,

Moderator YuSoHelpful
