ID 124 [NRP Ramming]

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: ID 124 (Same ID in both videos)
Date of interaction reported: 15/10/2019
Unix time stamp from HUD: Vid 1: 1571106786 Vid 2: 1571108745

Your characters name: Cole Fegan

Other player(s) involved: Eric Rahmel @37hh Rhea Moraine @Wolokai

Specific rule(s) broken:

8. Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  • Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.

  • Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay:

• Cop Baiting - Provoking a reaction from emergency services without a realistic reason.

• Mercy Killing - Asking to be killed by a friend (Killing a friend falls under deathmatching).

• Unrealistic stunt jumping or the use of an expensive vehicle to ram into other vehicles.

• Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for crimes or submerging any vehicle in water.

• Swimming in water for an unrealistic amount of time or without a destination during a chase.

  • Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof.

  • In a situation where a player gets away from an incident where they're being chased/pursued, they must wait 15 minutes before they can logout. Players should not instigate roleplay situations if they do not have time to play it through.

  • Players who ignore answering roleplay commands directed at them, e.g. /do.

  • In a situation where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the same advantages as they have had before their leave.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

Video 1: The driver of the elegy (Eric @37hh ) had spun out in a police chase with ID 124 being the driver of the T20, The T20 then proceeded to ram into the side of him, stop and then ram again and keep pushing the car in a sort of pit manoeuvre.

Video 2: Me and Rhea @Wolokaihad got into a shootout with a cop after he had pulled a gun on me attempted to arrest me after I had parked my car, realising he hit his panic button and we would be out numbered before we could get backup there, we ran to Rhea's bike and tried to leave quickly on it. This is when the T20 can be seen to pull in on the left and hit us at a high speed. (You can even hear him speed up and see him turn into us.)

PLAYER REPORT PENDING RESPONSES

Thank you for your patience while this report is under review.

After reviewing this report and the evidence attached to it, I have decided that this report cannot be concluded at this time. The following players will be required to provide their side of the story from this situation within the next twenty-four (24) hours:

  • Travis_Palmer [ID #124] - @Sane - Why did you ram the vehicle(s) using an expensive sports car?

If the players above fail to respond to this report within the next twenty-four (24) hours, this report will be concluded based on the evidence that has already been provided, to the best of our ability.

Incident 1: The first situation with the Elegy was completely lag on one of our ends as when I collided with the Elegy it appeared on my screen like it was stuck to my car and we were both being dragged around. I don’t have any footage as I wasn’t recording at the time unfortunately.

Incident 2: As for the second incident I came flying in at such a fast rate because one of our officers was under attack and I seen two individuals on a sport bike firing at him. I fully admit I rammed a small 400 pound sport bike with our sports car given the fact that it our officers life was in danger because he had been taking fire for awhile before we got there.

I would also like to add that the reporting party in this incident made the effort to go into /b a few times and continuously call me a "fucking deadass". I don't think that was necessary in any sense considering they were planning on forum reporting anyways. I understand getting upset about things but jumping into OOC to attack someone is just uncalled for in my opinion.

I said in /b and logs will show it something along the lines of “Why did you ram us?” Then you ignored so I said it again, only for you to reply that you didnt mean to and that you were already turning in. To which I reply “are you fucking deadass?” meaning are you serious?

I will take the punishment deemed fit for the ramming of the sport bike. I myself as well as many other officers would take life preservation of another officer over the cost of a department vehicle.

As for the Elegy situation as I stated it was lag; you can see the Elegy turn itself sideways before I collided with it and then there was a lag that had us stuck together for a few moments so there was no way of not ramming it.

PLAYER REPORT ACCEPTED

Thank you for your patience while this report was under review.

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, I've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following players:

  • Travis_Palmer [ID #124] @Sane - Non-RP - Offense #1 - Using an expensive sports vehicle to ram another vehicle.
I've discussed this report with other staff members. We all agreed that it seems like a PIT maneuver. Everyone in PD/SD knows about the Lag Pit. This explains why the vehicle spun out the way it did.

In the 2nd video, it's a life or death situation. I do feel the ram was justified there and will therefore not issue another punishment.

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.
