14. Deathmatch (DM)

• Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason.

• Examples of valid reasons to attack another player:

• If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property.

• If they report you to the police for a serious crime.

• If they are not in compliance with demands, attempt to escape, or call other players for help in a situation where they are required to display fear under fear roleplay rules.

• A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands.

• A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands.

• If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s).

• Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt.

• Attacking another player with no engagement in roleplay is not allowed.

• Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of:

  1.  Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.)

  2.   Someone is attempting to take your life.

  3.   Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen.

• You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason.

 

How did the player break the rule(s)

I was checking where the chop shop, then said over radio that there was a cop at chop shop out of no where he said stop the engine and both cops opened fire on me, I am not a wanted criminal i have no mask on, i also posed no threat to them.

I am the cop seen in the video with the Assault Rifle, what isn't shown is instances from earlier altercations with this gang...
1. This car along with a silver coquette, assisted in a grand theft auto. (wanted for Accessory to Grand Theft Auto
2. Then obstructed a pursuit of their friend, blocking our police car with there's (at this point they could be charged with obstruction of justice)
3. Had information in the form of a bolo for a car matching this vehicles description based on a 911 call. (now wanted to speak to pertaining to Heavy Weapons)
4. Previous interactions with this organization and their members have lead me to be cautious around them (hence the large calibur weapon)
5. He had in previous interactions not 20mins prior in rp leading to this (the one where he helped his friends steal car) where demands were made and he failed to comply (doesn't give me rights to shoot at his car at this point thus i didn't.
6. Him and his friends had clear intentions to chop cars at the chop shop, even with 2 cops standing there. (operation of a chop shop)

Demands were made over voip prior to shooting, demands were made, player failed to comply after demands were given he drove away, shots were fired 4 seconds after the initial demands, which you can hear the player saying "oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck" which means he understood the demands but full knowingly failed to comply. The "oh fucks" were not using any form of in game communication, for benefit of the doubt I would like to assume he is talking to himself and the mic registered it. (if this was reversed this would not of been considered reportable as

1. Demands were given,
2. he failed to comply
3. fled,
4. Fear RP might of been a factor as I was outside his driver window with a carbine less then 2 feet away.

While this report is going, I had someone from this gang long do me last-night with some rp concerning a burner phone as a tracer on my car, I went along with the rp to see what it was about, but am curious to see the rp that went into getting it in place, as the only instance I was away from my car was shown in this video...

I do feel I acted a bit over the top and do apologize for allowing previous interactions with you and your gangs to impact how I RP with you. I would like to move forward and attempt to continue to give you guys good rp (better then this instance).

Our only prior rp interaction was me asking you not to bump into that back of my car, also if your engine is running it's not fear rp so it does not matter if you aimed a gun at me if i was driving a bike it would of been a different story. I would also like to add that i am a female, and that i never used my voip that was someone else i only typed. The player who can be heard saying oh fuck was someone else on the radio that sounds like one of our members named kage, at 14 seconds in the video you can hear the same voice talking and his id 51 showing on radio during then, no clue why it later did not show.

I apologize if this impacted your roleplay, in a negative way, I would be more then happy to replay the situation with you, but feel the only difference would be there would be no shots fired (which I apologize for as it was a poor decision on my part to shoot at your car based on you fleeing from me on a scene) and you would successfully evade as you did in the above instance. 

Again I am sorry for the way my character acted in game, high stress from previous interactions with other folks had him on edge.

Let me know if you want to replay this interaction and we can certainly do that.

I look forward to it, I have had some great rp experience with you "orange" folks in the past and hope to keep it that way... oh and by the way... smartest way to let your friend get away with a stolen car to... I was beyond frustrated but laughed about it after hahaha SMART move... "pesky wabbits" well played!
