Fear Roleplay (FRP) Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life. Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger: • When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range. • When you’re in a vehicle that is stalled or turned off and a weapon is aimed at you close range. • When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger. • Driving a vehicle in an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover. Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger: • When you are in a car which engine is not stalled. • When you have a firearm drawn and are facing the other person before they attacked. • When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you. As a victim, whose life is in direct danger: • You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker. • You cannot call 911 or call your friends or allies to aid you. How did the player break the rule(s)? The two were stalking me the entire encounter, I had my gun out before they jumped on me and I told ID 49 to not pull out his gun but he did anyways and lead to me getting injured. I had VOIP set to shouting so I doubt he didn't hear my demands. The following people will be tagged/notified to give their side of the story within the next 24 hours: Alex_Trinh please explain why you pulled out your gun while having a pistol pointed at you and being given demands. Player will be notified in game. What happens if the person does not respond? We will review the evidence again and provide our conclusion. What might help my case? Posting evidence of your own POV is always a very handy tool. If you don't have any evidence at your disposal, the best you can do is tell the story in full detail on how it happened on your side. Not once in the entire encounter have I heard either one of them speak in-character to each other, I doubt they even had a radio as they seemed to not have to utilize it in order to know when to pounce me or even decide that they were going to pounce me. Before the incident, my partner and I were driving down the road about to cross the bridge. I was the first one to cross and when I turned around I saw him walking up from the riverbed. He was hiding so he couldn't see anything. I radioed to my partner, which still had not cross the bridge yet but was about to, that there was a person hiding right under him beside to the bridge. We then conversed on the topic about whether we should rob him or not. I told my partner that if he engaged first that I would back him up. We started to scout and see if he was gang related or was equipped with a fire arm. After concluding that he had a weapon we decided to engage Alexander with the intent of robbing him. They both put their guns against each other. My partner was demanding Alexander to lay down his weapon to which he didn't comply to multiple times(I don't know if he heard him or not which he should check and get it fixed.) I decided to aid my partner in this engagement and when I did, Alexander then proceeded to aim his sights on me which then meant that my partner was now the one holding a gun against him with no resistance meaning that he should have been the one in fear rp. Anyways we weren't the ones that were suppose to fear rp because we came in with the intent of robbing or having a gun fight if things went south. He claims that he was shouting at me but i could say the same thing to him where my partner aimed at him and was also yelling at him to put down his weapon which he did not. I am at a distance where fear rp was not needed and where I am able to pull out a pistol and defend myself in which he was the one that fired first. According to the firearms guideline, one is able to equip and use their firearm when faced with immediate danger. You can see from my video that it recorded the last 5 minutes of the interaction and it hasn't been tampered in any way. I would also point out that in your partners PoV, audio was not recorded and it does not show you communicating ICly in any way. Since I saw him trying to attack me from a distance and I already had my gun out, I was not under fear RP. Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger: • When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range. Clearly you were on a bike unarmed only equiping a knife for a brief moment when I was shouting demands at you to "don't take your gun out" and not to mention a weapon was also aimed. You decided to walk away and take out your pistol. If you said fear RP was not needed at that range its silly because it was not more than a few meters and in a real life situation you would have died, the fact that your friend is also aiming at me does not mean that you are out of the effect of Fear RP. I suggest you re-read the rules. In your video, which I watched numerous times, you talk through voip once before weapons were drawn at eachother. You never appear to use the radio or talk to eachother to converse anything. After reviewing the evidence provided, I've decided to apply the following punishments to the following players: Kevin_Young will receive a metagaming punishment. Alex_Trinh will receive a metagaming punishment. No one will receive a fearrp punishment because the situatioon unfolded you transitioned from the first man to the next and made demands to his friend, completely ignoring the guy that was directly pointing a weapon at you, his friend would not be under fearrp. Now onto the punishments, since the reported party stated that he and his friend were communication continuously through the situation to discuss robbing the reporting party but provided an edited video that contained zero sound and showed zero radio communication, I must go off the evidence at hand. I do not see how you can justify your radio chatter claims when there were no radio comms and you showed me a muted video. Not happy with the outcome? If you have received a punishment that you do not agree with, you are entitled to a fair punishment appeal that follows the guidelines and format provided. Otherwise, the conclusion of this report is final. Did the reporting party lose any items worth above 25.000 dollars as a result of this report? If you would like to request a refund, you may do so within our refund and transfer requests section, as long as your request follows the guidelines and format provided.
