Date of interaction reported: 09/27/19
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1569629435

Your characters name: Zion Willard

Other player(s) involved: N/A

Specific rule(s) broken:

 Fear Roleplay (FRP)

  • Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life.

  • Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger:

• When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range.

• When you’re in a vehicle that is stalled or turned off and a weapon is aimed at you close range.

• When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger.

• Driving a vehicle in an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover.

  • Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger:

• When you are in a car which engine is not stalled.

• When you have a firearm drawn and are facing the other person before they attacked.

• When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you.

  • As a victim, whose life is in direct danger:

• You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker.

• You cannot call 911 or call your friends or allies to aid you.

Deathmatch (DM)

  • Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason.

  • Examples of valid reasons to attack another player:

• If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property.

• If they report you to the police for a serious crime.

• If they are not in compliance with demands, attempt to escape, or call other players for help in a situation where they are required to display fear under fear roleplay rules.

  • A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands.

  • A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands.

  • If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s).

  • Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt.

  • Attacking another player with no engagement in roleplay is not allowed.

  • Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of:

    1.  Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.)

    2.   Someone is attempting to take your life.

    3.   Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen.

  • You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

Pretty clear cut, he broke FearRP by running away with an AK at him point blank. He then claimed in /pm that he didn't see the AK due to desync, which his evidence may prove. However, had he not seen the AK he would have had no right to run me over with his bike, making this DM.

Evidence of rule breach:

Hey if you would read the rule you quoted it states as follows:

  • Examples of valid reasons to attack another player:

• If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property.

You getting off your bike and telling me to get off my bike now while having an AK-47 on you is an attempt to do something nefarious to me. You're gang making petty reports on me wont end well for you guys. This is the 2nd one in 2 days that is petty. Anyways here's my POV. You can see your gun was never pointed at me so I'm never under Fear RP.

Just now, Zion Willard said:

You have been on the server for long enough to know that a weapon was pointed at you and that you were under fearRP. Demands are not a right to DM, remember that report you submitted on Zeta's for the one that shot you when you gave demands? Please stop trying to dance around the gray zone of the rules.

A weapon wasn't pointed at me. Do you magically just drive around with an AK-47 in your hands while you're driving your motorcycle? No you don't, it's strapped on your back. If you want to make it so that everyone can see you aiming the rifle then don't be non-rp and immediately have the AK-47 available on your screen because it wont show for others, do it correctly and select it from the weapon wheel where it'll actually animate it coming off your back. Somebody telling me to get off my bike while pulling out an AK-47 right in front of me is enough to hit you while escaping. The report on the zeta was while I was in my vehicle and was driving off, totally different scenario and that report got denied anyways...

Hello @Zion Willard! Thank you for making the report.

After careful deliberation, we have decided on the following:

Player ID 177 - Jason Malgotti - Did not break Fear RP, nor did he (V)DM you by hitting you with the motorbike. After reviewing the footage from his POV (the only POV that he could've acted on) it is very clear that you are not even holding an AK, much less aiming it. This is due to the fact that an animation is supposed to play when disembarking motorbikes before you can use it. As for the (V)DM, we do not feel that his intention was to damage you or your vehicle, rather that he wanted to escape, and you left him no other option. If you do not wish to get hit by a motor vehicle, you should not park your vehicle directly in front of someone, and then hop out in a hostile manner.
