Deathmatch (DM) Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason. Examples of valid reasons to attack another player: • If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property. • If they report you to the police for a serious crime. • If they are not in compliance with demands, attempt to escape, or call other players for help in a situation where they are required to display fear under fear roleplay rules. A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands. A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands. If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s). Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt. Attacking another player with no engagement in roleplay is not allowed. Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of: Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.) Someone is attempting to take your life. Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen. You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason. How did the player break the rule(s)? I was tailing Malgotti when he got off his bike without any clear demands given. He then proceeded to shoot me twice. At no point was there a clear demand or firearm pointed at my character to put me under fearrp. Copperhorse Posted September 28, 2019 Report Share Posted September 28, 2019 (edited) Hello, I gave demands both times however I needed a voicereset but nobody told me so. You can see in my video that I was in "Normal" mode and that I was pressing my N key and you can hear my voice giving demands. Also the distance between us was small enough that you would hear me if my voice wasn't bugged by the server. There's nothing that I can do if you don't hear me because of a bug unless somebody told me in /b that they cannot hear me then I can /voicereset. Also to the moderator who will review this. Is this not breaking Fear RP what he does? If he is chasing me and I get off my bike and point a gun at him and then he just circles me instead of either 1. Running away or 2. Fighting me. In a real scenario you would not continue to chase that person who threatened you with a gun unless you had the intention of fighting him. Cap Posted September 28, 2019 Author Report Share Posted September 28, 2019 Now demands IRL keeping in mind RP is meant to be realistic I would have never heard you over the sound and noise of a High-end sports bike and 14000 RPM's around 90KPH. Just doesn't seem like demands are valid as stated in rules they must be clear and understood. Also time must be given to allow someone to comply. When I pointed a gun at you the 1st time I wasn't inviting you to my wedding. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that if somebody you're chasing pulls a gun on you they want you to stop following. You continued to do so even after valid demands so I shot. Ample time was given for you to leave after I first pointed at you yet you decide to break Fear RP and drive up to somebody with your body exposed who just threatened you with a gun without the intention of fighting me or leaving the area. Cap Posted September 28, 2019 Author Report Share Posted September 28, 2019 (edited) Also I was given 0 time to respond to your demands just to be clear on that. 2) I had been moving on a bike and too far to hear demands my point being I am not under fearrp. alexalex303 Posted September 28, 2019 Report Share Posted September 28, 2019 Hello and thank you for making the report @Cap, After careful deliberation, we have decided upon the following: Player ID 30 - Jason_Malgotti - @Copperhorse - will receive DM #2 for shooting at a player that was fleeing when not under Fear RP. We have reviewed the footage, including the one from Jason's perspective, and we feel that the driver of the bike was far enough away that he was not under Fear RP, and as such, shooting him is invalid. Player ID 138 - Seb_Romano - @Cap - will receive NonRP #2 for his comments following the shooting. It is very clear that you were mixing IC and OOC after he shot you, sounding very happy that your life was threatened, very excitedly exclaiming "no demands" over and over, and at the end "hes done now".
