Date of interaction reported: 9/25/2019
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1569458958

Your characters name: Joey Kalcor

Other player(s) involved: Jay

Specific rule(s) broken: Fear RP

13. Fear Roleplay (FRP)

  • Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life.

  • Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger:

When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range.

• When you’re in a vehicle that is stalled or turned off and a weapon is aimed at you close range.

• When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger.

• Driving a vehicle in an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover.

  • Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger:

• When you are in a car which engine is not stalled.

• When you have a firearm drawn and are facing the other person before they attacked.

• When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you.

  • As a victim, whose life is in direct danger:

• You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker.

• You cannot call 911 or call your friends or allies to aid you.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

My friend told me to come to an area and I did only to witness my friend start robbing a Farmer at gunpoint with an AK47 who then clearly breaks FEAR RP by getting in the car and driving away.

Evidence of rule breach:

PLAYER REPORT PENDING RESPONSES

Thank you for your patience while this report is under review.

After reviewing this report and the evidence attached to it, I have decided that this report cannot be concluded at this time. The following players will be required to provide their side of the story from this situation within the next twenty-four (24) hours:

  • [Mike_Gambino[ID #169]] - [ Notified IG ] - Why did you jump into your van while a heavy weapon was pointed at you and demands were being given, then drive away from the situation?

If the players above fail to respond to this report within the next twenty-four (24) hours, this report will be concluded based on the evidence that has already been provided, to the best of our ability.

Regards,
Brawnkoh

@Brawnkoh

a heavy weapon was pointed at me, until the gentleman got back on his bike with the weapon on his back and started to drive away. at this point i rand to the van and tried to get away. from my perspective there was no gun pointed at me again until i was in the van with the engine running... i do not have saved footage of this. The desync is very clear in this video though as my character stops moving and is then teleported into the van. I looks to me that when my character stops moving the assailant still has his back turned without his gun out.

So if someone had a heavy weapon an AK47 to be precise aimed at you with lethal intention if you did not comply and you were just sitting in your car you would drive away?

PLAYER REPORT DENIED

Thank you for your patience while this report was under review.

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, I have decided to deny this report for the following reason(s):

  • I'm going to deny this report, but it's a very close one and I want to err on the side of caution. I'll give a little explanation as to why. As you can see in the image I've included below, This is the point at which the reported party was already in the car, the animations were slightly desynced, this is why you see him stand at the car for what appears to be an extended period of time before he teleports to the drivers seat.. I do believe on his screen, he was already in the vehicle by the time the robber pulled the AK. As such, once he's in a vehicle that has an engine that is not stalled, he is not under FearRP and is not required to comply with demands.

I will also not be handing out a DM punishment on this, due to the fact that to the reporting party, it appeared as if the individual should have been under FearRP due to the desync.

This decision is final. Unless instructed to, if you post another player report pertaining to this incident, you may be muted from posting on the forums for a temporary period. If you disagree with the outcome of this report, please file an appeal following the appeal guidelines and format.

Regards,
Brawnkoh
