Powergaming (PG) Forceful roleplay that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered powergaming. Other players must be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of actions. Roleplay of unrealistic actions like super strength is another form of powergaming. All statements in /DO must be factually true in the roleplay as it sets grounds for roleplay. Roleplay is required before forceful server commands which may be used without consent from the other party if they are unresponsive and not typing for 30 seconds or more. A player cannot use the faction management script to destroy a faction as it is OOC. Government funded faction members must not abuse the salary system and must go off-duty when they are not performing their faction duties. If you perform an action which will influence potential RP in the future, you must have OOC evidence of performing said RP. OOC evidence should consist of a recording or screenshot and it needs to be timestamped (/time). RP would only be valid for 48 hours or until your character dies and NLR is triggered. The time limit does not apply to rule. 9. Metagaming (MG) Metagaming is the act of relaying IC information through any method not considered IC that has the potential to change current or future roleplay scenarios or using that information. Mixing IC and OOC information without any benefit is a minor MG offense. For example, a player uses IC chat to call someone by their player ID displayed above their head. How did the player break the rule(s)? ID 36 was deprived of any method of communication for the entirety of the role play scenario and still managed to somehow communicate with ID 76 about his location and escape route. The power gaming section of this report is due to his extremely poor roleplay focused on ''winning'' the situation by trying two straight times to escape when he had just been injured and had both arms broken after a high speed collision, not only that but the NCZ rules state a player can attempt to escape, but I do not believe this includes harm on law enforcement to achieve such escape. Overall a very poor situation that stemmed from him driving around sandy shores MD trying multiple times to pick someone up (again with zero communication between them) that led into a pursuit and apprehension. After this, he tries to escape two times giving roleplay that does not reflect his current RP situation and injuries and manages to do so while having never spoken to anyone during his entire arrest. Evidence of rule breach: I would advise staff to watch the whole thing to get a better picture as to why I think these two were metagaming. Player ID 76 - Edward_Wayne - @Ethan Turner - how did you know that player ID 36 needed assistance? how did you know where he would be (specifically referring to the back of the hospital)? The aforementioned players have 24 hours to answer to the inquiry or the report may be concluded without their side of the events. Natan Posted September 27, 2019 Report Share Posted September 27, 2019 Well, i'd like to start this off by pointing out one thing in Cyrus' video, and that would be that he was talking over teamspeak without pressing N in game which is considered metagaming. Alright imma explain the story roughly, I was evading cops after trying to pick up a person from Sandy MD, failed to do so since cops were preventing that from happening. After she was already in the cruiser there was a cop car after me i went to the sandy airport did a circle around the hangar lost the cop car as he kept on driving toward prison, then another cruiser turned around which would be Cyrus' cruiser and started going after me tried doing the same trick didn't work. A few minutes into the chase i head into the city to attempt to lose the cops, couple of minutes after im in the city i get blocked by a cop drive straight into him, get injured. From what i got told by Edward_Wayne in ooc after we got away from the cop, he told me he saw me when he was going down from bank, i mean in my opinion bank road is used a lot. Continueing on the way to MD i saw some people at the zeta gas station, used to be a zeta back in the day so i started screaming for help, no vehicle started following the ambulance i was in which was whatever i thought i was going jail 100% in that situation but i could at least try getting away. After being dropped off at MD i attempted to RP my way out so i would be able to run to the place i always run to so if there was someone picking me up it'd be there since we always go to the same place, and everyone from daniels can confirm that we always run to the same place as its the easiest way to get away. I attempted to RP my way out of it by attempting to "headbutt" the cop which clearly didnt work as the cop replied with a /do "would be watching your movements very closely" or something like that, he didnt tase me after i tried doing that so i attempted another /me "kicking him in his crotch" which he tased me at first as i was writing my /do "would i be able to run?" so i wrote in ooc "wait" as i was writing my /do, after that he replied that i would be able to run, so i did, ran to the spot i normally go to which would be the parking lot next to MD, and saw a white lectro there so i got on it and drove off with Edward. One last thing to this would be that we have done the same exact thing before i went to jail with Kai Devito and another cop, he attempted to pick me up at the top of the parking same spot as in the video but i'm guessing he got here, late as he wasn't there so i ran down going for the railtrack near the MD but got caught by Kai on the way down. He did come after that, i was already in cuffs and at gunpoint by cops so no way i was getting out of that one and didn't. Edward knew this info as he was with me at parking lot robbing a guy that broke fearrp, but lets not get off topic, we attempted to rob a guy he ran away at gunpoint we shot him, a cop drove up pressed a panic button, he put his hands up and surrendered, his backup came like 10-20 seconds later and our vehicle was stalled so we ran on foot a little bit to wait for the vehicle, so it would be able to start, we done that unfortunately i got tased by an officer but as i had a gun in my hand and recovered from the taser shot and he only had a taser i told him to put his hands up, he tased me either way at gunpoint then surrendered, the other officer noticed that i had him at gunpoint and shot me, Edward got away in my jester and attempted to pick me up at MD after. To be quite honest i didn't know you werent allowed to physically assault a cop inside an ncz when the RP situation began outside the NCZ which would make sense. How i always understood the rule was that if the situation began outside the NCZ i'd be able to attempt to physically hurt the officer arresting as it'd make sense RPly, but rules are rules, I do admit to breaking the rule which i didn't understand worked in the way it worked before. As to the part about me having any "IC, OOC" communications with Edward at the time, no i did not have any with him as we broke out of prison like 20-30 min before this incident, i dropped him off near weazel and didnt see him until he picked me up at the parking lot. However I thought it would be important to note that this was only done during the pursuit portion of the video at the start, having used both at the same time once we were out of the vehicle where realistically he and others would be able to hear me. I try to use both N and my ts key bind at the same time, but usually forgo it if I am either alone or during pursuits at high speeds due to it's layout. This case it was the latter, I don't think that within RP either Nathan or anyone else could have possibly heard me communicating on radio since we were both in vehicles and travelling at high speeds. However, it can still very much be seen as meta gaming and I do recognise that, I will be changing my team speak settings to voice activation and moving my N key to a mouse button to avoid this issue in the future. Apologies to anyone who felt that my actions hindered their RP. As for the topic at hand. I think it's needless to say from my part that it's a very big coincidence that your friend happen to know where to wait for you, taking into account the lack of communication throughout the situation, do you or him happen to have any footage of the situation ? alexalex303 Posted September 30, 2019 Report Share Posted September 30, 2019 I apologize for the delay in the conclusion of the report, however we sought input from other staff members to ensure that our verdict is in line with the rest of the staff team's view. After careful deliberation, we have decided upon the following: Player ID 181 - Cyrus_Raven - @Kyle White Raven - will receive a verbal warning about not holding down N when speaking in TAC. We are very sympathetic to the player recognizing his mistake, apologizing and detailing how he will avoid such a thing from occurring again in the future. We also feel that because this occurred when he was driving a cruiser at high speed, it did not affect the roleplay. Player ID 36 - Nathan_Sanchez - @Natan - will receive NonRP #4 for his breach of a No Crime Zone. The rules clearly state that running is acceptable in a NCZ, however, crimes against another player (such as physically attacking them) are not. You may attempt to roleplay struggling away/breaking free from the officer, but you are not allowed to attack him towards that goal. Player ID 76 - Edward_Wayne - @Ethan Turner - we have found that there is not enough evidence of metagame to go forward with a punishment, however we find your perfect coordination with no communication highly suspicious, and I strongly advise you to communicate in-character in the future, or should other situations like this arise again, you may face punishment.
