Him asking can this guy steal my van is him making sure that hes understanding the rules correctly and has you can hear I clearly tell him its not. @Dqniel I do understand me saying im going to report him in non-rp, but he was already driving away and I was giving him a chance to give back the van explaining to him that was a new players van so him saying it was bugged is no excuse when I told him. Kind regards, Dqniel I use the out of game voip to ask questions about if something is okay to do or not such as being robed as a new player while farming i only use push to talk in it to make sure that whatever i do or someone else dos is okay i think it good to have another say if it follows the rules or not to make sure i stay in line and to make sure something someone else dos is not against the rules either. After extensively reviewing the provided evidence as well as taking the statements of all parties involved into consideration, i have decided to conclude this report. Player Aiden_Dimmig will receive a Non-Roleplay punishment for breaching the player theft rules | Offense #2. Player Logan_Newman will receive a metagaming guide and warn warning. Player Mason_Clyde will receive a metagaming guide and warn warning. First and foremost, i would like to address the punishment of player Aiden_Dimmig and the reasoning behind it. In the provided evidence of this report, it can be seen that you drive around the farm on your bike before approaching the reporting party. As outlined in the Player Theft rule(s), a player with the “New Player” tag above their character may not be robbed unless it is in retaliation OR they deliberately insert themselves and or start active crime scenes, and as this was not the case you you are in violation of the server rules. I would like to give all players the benefit of the doubt during these types of situations, but there has been no provided evidence to suggest that during this situation you did not notice the new player tag above the reporting parties character due to it being bugged - and as such i can only conclude this report based on the evidence provided to me by the reporting party. In addition to this, the fact that the reporting party stated that he would report you in connection to you stealing the van should have prompted you to reanalyze the situation and double check whether or not the reporting party was a new player. Please take this punishment as an opportunity to reflect on your actions, and making sure that moving forward you do so in a way where this is not repeated. Secondly, i would like to address the punishment of Logan_Newman and the reasoning behind it. In the provided evidence of this report, it can be seen that the both of you communicate through discord during this entire situation, and at times relaying in-character information to one another. The issue that arises with this situation is that you are in violation of our metagaming rules. This is not a typical situation where you and your friend are utilizing discord to take part in out of character dicussions and coach one another on the rules - there is in character information being said and exchanged. Statements such as “You sure? Because he just did” referring to the van being stolen, “"Here, put this in your van and don't get out" referring to you being asked to remain in the van while he places the wheat inside of it and "There's another farm" referring to you informing your friend of another in-character location are all in-character and should not be discussed and or exchanged through discord regardless in whether or not you are witnessing them in real time in-game. There is absolutely no communication between the two of you inside the game, making it incredibly unfair for not only the reported party, but also other players as they cannot see what the two of you are talking about. From what i understand the both of you are relatively new players and as such you are still acclimating and familiarizing yourselves with the server and its rules. The aim of this conclusion will therefore be to educate you, rather than punishing you. It is incredibly important remembering to differentiate between in character and out of character during these calls because when push comes to shove and you are placed in a stressful situation, there is no telling what type of information you mistakenly might relay in these discord calls. There is out of character means of communication implemented in the game for a reason, and i sincerely encourage the both of you to use it. Furthermore, in regards to you utilizing the in character voip to relay out of character statements or in other words mixing IC and OOC, i will let it slide during this situation as it was not anything major. I do however want to remind you that we have out of character means of communication implemented into the server for a reason, and in situations like these you are expected to use them. Thirdly, i would like to address the punishment of Mason_Clyde and the reasoning behind it.
