ID 8 DM

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: ID 8
Date of interaction reported: 9/15/2019
Unix time stamp from HUD: 182 | 1568600222

Your characters name: Steven Ruby

Other player(s) involved: ID 60 (He was with the party but did not shoot)

Specific rule(s) broken:

"7.2.1 Deathmatch is the act of killing or hurting another player (or damaging their property) without a proper roleplay reason.
An attempt to break this rule will result in a temporary or permanent ban."

Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger:
• When you are in a car which engine is not stalled.

How did the player break the rule(s)?
ID 8 broke the rules by DM'ing when I was not under fear RP.

Me and a friend (as you can hear on the radio) were communicating to find an individual who was pointing a gun earlier at me. When we realized the farmer who pulled up was Immigrant(new player) and not the previous individual. I was hiding around the corner while my friend was on the top of the building. After this, I ran back and fourth to check if the person was going to come. After hearing someone jumping a fence, I decided to turn around and run and notified my friend I was getting chased. ID 8 did not have me under Fear RP nor was there ANY RP being done. Instead, he just attempted to chase me and as he saw he couldn't catch up to me he openly fired, came up to be and killed me. There were 0 demands as you can hear in the video and 0 reason for him to shoot me as we have never interacted before this shooting even occurred.

Evidence of rule breach:

Hello, and thank you for making this player report! @jokerrk

Player Buck_Freeman will receive 24 hours to provide his side of the story and explain the reasoning for his actions which can be seen in the provided evidence above. First and foremost, why did you fire at the reporting party? Secondly, do you have any evidence displaying your point of view during this situation? If so, please provide said footage in your response. As the reported party does not have a forum account, he will be notified of this report in-game.

Kind regards,

Dqniel

Hello, and thank you for remaining patient! As more than enough time has passed for the reported party to respond with his side of the story and explain the reasoning for his actions i have decided to conclude this report based on the provided evidence and statement given to me by the reporting party.

Player Buck_Freeman will receive a Deathmatch punishment | Offense #2

First and foremost, i would like to address the punishment of Deathmatch and the reasoning behind it. In the provided evidence of this report, it can be seen that you are chasing the reporting party by foot while simultaneously making multiple demands for him to stop. The reporting party decides not to comply with the demands made upon him and instead continue running. As the reporting party attempts to escape the situation, he is ultimately fired upon and killed. The issue that arises with this situation is that your actions are in violation of our Deathmatch rules. It is very likely to assume that your reasoning for firing at the reporting party was due to his decision of not wanting to comply with your demands, however the current deathmatch rules state that failure to comply with demands may only be used as a reason to attack another player if said player is in a situation where they are required to roleplay fear under the fear roleplay rules. This is not the case here, as the reporting party was not required to display fear or abide by the fear roleplay rules. The reporting party was not placed under Fear Roleplay at the time of the demands being made as your weapon was lowered the entire time, and as such the reporting party could choose not to comply with your demands knowing that there was no direct threat to his life. It does not matter if you repeatedly told him to stop, as the deathmatch rules make it amply clear that in order to attack another player for non compliance, said player must be placed under fear roleplay and this is not the case here. In short, if someone is not placed under fear roleplay at the time of certain demands being made, they can choose not to comply and can not be shot for non compliance.

Secondly, i would like to conclude this report on this note. Ultimately, this seems to be a case of you being too quick to attack another player. As players of Eclipse Roleplay we should all strive to provide the highest quality of roleplay with any player(s) that we encounter, and killing the reporting party as quickly as you did cut out what could have been a good roleplay scenario between the two of you. The roleplay displayed by you during this situation is not acceptable and is most certainly not welcomed on the server. Please take this punishment as an opportunity to reflect on your actions, and take what is said here into consideration when and if you decide to appeal this permanent ban.

Thank you for making this report! @jokerrk

Report is accepted and archived.

Kind regards,

Dqniel.
