15. Player Theft, Prison Breakout, and Kidnapping

• Players cannot force their victims to withdraw money from an ATM, sell property, or sell vehicles.

• Players cannot force their victims to hand over assets that are not present in the area.

• Players cannot steal from players with “NEW PLAYER” above their head unless it is in retaliation. 

• Players with the (( NEW PLAYER )) tag that deliberately insert themselves into or start active crime scenes lose their new player protection during those illegal activities.

• Players may not steal from their faction treasury as the F4 menu is OOC.

• Permission for prison break must be approved by a Moderator+ prior to the attempt.

• Players may participate in no more than 1 prison break attempt within 1 OOC week.

• Official Factions may attempt 2 additional breaks in the case the prisoner is the faction leader.

• Players are allowed to kidnap or to take other players hostage for these specific reasons:

• You have to have a roleplay reason to kill the victim in accordance with the a, b, and c points under DM section.

• If you attempt to commit robbery of a property, you are allowed to hold the players within that property until you have finished the robbery. An NPC is not a valid hostage.

• If a hostage situation involves police in any way all of players involved in holding the hostage may not take another hostage for 1 OOC week.

14. Deathmatch (DM)

• Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason.

• Examples of valid reasons to attack another player:

• If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property.

• If they report you to the police for a serious crime.

• If they are not in compliance with demands, attempt to escape, or call other players for help in a situation where they are required to display fear under fear roleplay rules.

• A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands.

• A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands.

• If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s).

• Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt.

• Attacking another player with no engagement in roleplay is not allowed.

• Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of:

  1.  Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.)

  2.   Someone is attempting to take your life.

  3.   Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen.

• You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

1) they had no roleplay reason to kill, so had no justification to kidnap

2) they were not robbing a property, so had no justification to kidnap

3) it was not a hostage situation, so had no justification to kidnap

Therefor the shooting of someone refusing to get into the car is Fail-RP/Non-RP, Deathmatch and attempted Powergaming.

4)He could clearly see I was typing and ignored that fact when he chose to shoot me.

You fail rp tried to hold a gun on me from inside your car , you shot me after only counting to 5 while you could see i was typing and you skipped any form of rp by doing so, you submitted a screenshot of me with my gun out but if I had meant to pull it on you I certainly would have demanded you get out of the car and put your hands up ,you heard the other players saying you were the one that kidnaps DCC employees and then you drove off then came back to talk shit and fail rp and now that you see the report that you knew was coming you are trying to justify your actions by saying you were just wanting to take me somewhere secure to rob me.

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, I have decided to deny this report for the following reason(s): You were given clear demands, to which you failed to follow. You could have complied with the demands, then chosen to speak afterwards. You were shot for failing to comply with demands. As such, I do not believe DM was broken here. I will say, I do understand how you can feel like kidnapping occurred. However, without it actually happening, it's hard to say if he was going to kidnap you, or just drive you around a building to rob you. In situations like this, I suggest RPing it out, (even if it's a rule break) then using the proper channels to report it as such. Had this situation RP'd out completely, the end result of this report may have ended differently. This decision is final. Unless instructed to, if you post another player report pertaining to this incident, you may be muted from posting on the forums for a temporary period.
