    10. Powergaming (PG)

    ·         Forceful roleplay that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered powergaming. Other players must be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of actions.

    ·         Roleplay of unrealistic actions like super strength is another form of powergaming.

    ·         All statements in /DO must be factually true in the roleplay as it sets grounds for roleplay.

    ·         Roleplay is required before forceful server commands which may be used without consent from the other party if they are unresponsive and not typing for 30 seconds or more.

    ·         A player cannot use the faction management script to destroy a faction as it is OOC.

    ·         Government funded faction members must not abuse the salary system and must go off-duty when they are not performing their faction duties.

    ·         If you perform an action which will influence potential RP in the future, you must have OOC evidence of performing said RP.

o    OOC evidence should consist of a recording or screenshot and it needs to be timestamped (/time).

o    RP would only be valid for 48 hours or until your character dies and NLR is triggered. The time limit does not apply to rule 7.

    13. Fear Roleplay (FRP)

    ·         Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life.

    ·         Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger:

    • When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range.

    • When you’re in a vehicle that is stalled or turned off and a weapon is aimed at you close range.

    • When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger.

    • Driving a vehicle in an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover.

    ·         Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger:

    • When you are in a car which engine is not stalled.

    • When you have a firearm drawn and are facing the other person before they attacked.

    • When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you.

    ·         As a victim, whose life is in direct danger:

    • You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker.

    • You cannot call 911 or call your friends or allies to aid you.

    ·         As a victim, whose life is in direct danger:

    • You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker.

    • You cannot call 911 or call your friends or allies to aid you.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

I was robbing him and I told him to open his car and he says he does not have the keys. Then I attempted to search him for the keys via /me and /do and I informed him that he cannot lie in /do. He still said that he does not have the keys. I reported him to an admin , but he jumped in his car and drove away therefore breaking also fearRP as the car was stalled and engine was off. He showed no care for what could happen to him as I have pointed a gun at him again, which I did.

Hello, and thank you for making this player report! @Scott Nicholson

First and foremost, player Mike_Mcbain | @Mike McBain will receive 24 hours to provide his side of the story and explain the reasoning for his actions which can be seen in the provided evidence above. Why did you roleplay not having the keys belonging to your vehicle when the provided evidence above suggests otherwise? Are you aware that providing false statements through the use of /do is against the rules as all statements made through the roleplaying command must be factually true? In addition to being tagged on the forums you will be notified of this report in-game.

Secondly, @Scott Nicholson do you have any alternative and unedited footage of this situation taking place? In the provided evidence of this report i am unable to hear your voice when you speak over VOIP at numerous occasions. Furthermore, could you please explain as to why you aimed your weapon at the new player before directing your attention back to Mike_McBain

Looking forward to your responses.

Kind regards,

Dqniel

Hello, and thank you for remaining patient! As more than enough time has passed for the reported party to respond with his side of the story and explain the reasoning for his actions i have decided to conclude this report based on the provided evidence and statement given to us by the reporting party.

Player Mike_Mcbain will receive a Non-Roleplay punishment for Powergaming | Offense #1.

First and foremost, i would like to address the Non-Roleplay punishment and the reasoning behind it. The issue that arises with this situation is that your actions are in violation of our Powergaming rules based on these following point(s). The Eclipse Roleplay rulebook makes it amply clear that if you perform an action which will influence potential roleplay in the future, you must have out of character evidence of performing or conducting said roleplay. In the provided evidence of this report you continuously roleplayed not having your car keys in your possession without providing any out of character evidence of this being the case and as such you are in violation of our powergaming rules. In addition to this, the reporting party had engaged in roleplay by searching your pockets for potential car keys, and in response you provided a “no” through the use of /do which would suggest that your character did not have the car keys at the time. However, a few seconds after this occurred you approach a vehicle and unlock it, which would mean that you had your car keys all along and lied using a roleplaying command where all statements made must be factually true as per the server rules. This is also in violation of the powergaming rules. These two offenses combined is what resulted in the issued punishment.

Secondly, i would like to address the lack of punishment relating to the supposed Fear Roleplay breach. In the provided evidence of this report, it can be seen that you aim your weapon at Mike_McBain for a split second as he enters his vehicle before lowering it and placing the weapon back into your waist. It is of my belief that the split second you had the weapon aimed at Mike_McBain is not enough for him to be required to roleplay fear in this situation. With this being said, the supposed Fear Roleplay violation will be rejected on the basis of there being no FRP breaches in this situation.

Thank you for making this report! @Scott Nicholson

Report is accepted and archived.

Kind regards,

Dqniel.
