Other player(s) involved: Jackson Steal

Specific rule(s) broken:

14. Deathmatch (DM)

  • Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason.

  • Examples of valid reasons to attack another player:

• If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property.

• If they report you to the police for a serious crime.

• If they are not in compliance with demands, attempt to escape, or call other players for help in a situation where they are required to display fear under fear roleplay rules.

  • A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands.

  • A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands.

  • If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s).

  • Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt.

  • Attacking another player with no engagement in roleplay is not allowed.

  • Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of:

    1.  Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.)

    2.   Someone is attempting to take your life.

    3.   Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen.

  • You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

ID 21 on the back of the motorcycle shoots at us without any demands. We were not under fearRP as the car was operational and we were inside.

Thank you for creating this player report.

The following people will be tagged/notified to give their side of the story within the next 24 hours:

  • Nico_Izumi @SaekoRaeko  I would like for you to explain to me why I should believe that excuse? In this video you clearly shoot both of them down and then continue to fully kill them. I feel if you were desyncing out you would have stopped once they were injured? Or when one was injured? Please provide me an answer and evidence to support your reasoning.

What happens if the person does not respond? We will review the evidence again and provide our conclusion.
What might help my case? Posting evidence of your own POV is always a very handy tool. If you don't have any evidence at your disposal, the best you can do is tell the story in full detail on how it happened on your side. Be honest and do not lie in your reply.

It isn't an excuse I really had no idea what was happening. I was only trying to aim my gun at them to get them to stop the vehicle. I had no intention of killing anyone at that moment. I was confused when they were on the floor because on my screen they were in the car and a second later just went to the ground. No bullet noises, no windshield breaking, nothing. There was a lot of chasing, talking, and a lot going on.  Also, why would I waste my ammo shooting/spamming rounds into them, the ground and at the empty car when they're already on the floor? In the video, I did that because I had no idea I was shooting. I wouldn't waste my ammo like that. I was aiming down my sites the whole time just in case they tried to do something. I still have that weapon and its only missing two rounds in it from previous use. I tried to tell them twice in game as well that I didn't realize I was shooting at them via /ooc and tried to sort out the situation, you can see that below from two screen shots I grabbed from the original poster's twitch video, but I was ignored. I didn't realize there was a "bug" or "desync" while aiming down my sites till after it all went down.

I truly am sorry that this happened this sucks for all sides. I just started on this server, the last thing i'm trying to do is start unnecessary trouble, but I really didn't do anything but aim my weapon. I wasn't aware I needed to worry about situations like this. If you don't believe me then I guess it is what it is and Ill just have to start recording all my game play if i'm still allowed to play.

Thank you again for making a player report.

After reviewing evidence. We have decided to deny the report for the following reasons:

  • Myself and two support members reinacted this scene and it is confirmed that there is a glitch with passengers on a bike. There will be two verbal warnings that I will submit with this. First one, now that you know there is a glitch make sure that you do not re create it and end up in the same situation. The second is for your friend who stated that "they had already givin demands before". All demands given to the occupants of the police cruiser were invalid because they were not held under fear rp. Also they were literally not heard. Again these are only warnings as the players were not killed for those reasons, but due to a glitch. Thank you for your time.

This decision is final. Unless instructed too, if you post another report pertaining to this incident you shall receive forum warning points and a mute from posting on the forums.
Not happy with the outcome, Or got questions?  Post a forum private message towards the admin handling this case to talk about it a bit further.
