Hacking and Exploits Players must not have mods, trainers, or any kind of software installed that gives any advantage. Server bugs may not be used for advantage and must be reported on ECLIPSE Roleplay forums. Server scripts should not be exploited in any way to your advantage, e.g. circumventing AFK timer or adding something to your screen to replicate a crosshair. 7. IC and OOC Interactions Players are required to remain in-character (IC) at all times. Text chat, VOIP, radio, phone and commands like /ME and /do are to be used only for IC content. IC content must not contain acronyms like “lol” or “u” or smiley faces excluding IC SMS. For OOC content, players must use chat commands that encase the content in brackets. For example: (( this is OOC content )). OOC chat commands are /OOC, /O, /B, /PM and /F. OOC videos or screenshots can be used as IC evidence only if the footage contains the character using the /RECORD command to hold a phone in their hand. Property interiors can have cameras only if the owner roleplays installation and takes time stamped screenshots with the camera angle as evidence. Exteriors only if there is an object. You may roleplay a hidden camera, wire, or dash cam in a vehicle if recordings are unedited and include roleplay starting and ending. Attempts to search must be answered truthfully in /do. Sexual, torture, or extremely gross roleplay is allowed only if all involved parties (participants and witnesses) have agreed to it in OOC text chat, prior to the actual roleplay being performed. Only administrators are allowed force pause RP or investigate rule breaches. How did the player break the rule(s)? ID 84 was pulled over by @TheBrohman with broken tires. He decided to speed away from the traffic stop, with broken tires, initiating a pursuit. Unhappy with the performance of his vehicle, because it had broken tires before, during and after the traffic stop, he asked if he could relog to fix the tires. We said no, the tires were broken on all of our screens, including his, before the pursuit was even initiated. He made the choice to start a pursuit with broken tires, paused rp despite not being an admin, then logged out to fix the vehicle on his client and continue the pursuit. None of us oocly consented to this relog and the vehicle's tires were broken BEFORE he started the pursuit. Evidence of rule breach: The blur is masking staff chat. Aiden Dimmigg Posted September 11, 2019 Report Share Posted September 11, 2019 ID 84 here i was at drug lab before and i got robbed so the robber guy hopped in my car and after he hopped in my tires got popped ! so it was a desync happened to me which i had to relog . You had broken tires before you had ANY interaction with us. Had they bugged and broke after you'd interacted with us, that'd be different and we'd have been willing to let you relog to fix them. However, because they were already like that upon the traffic stop, you had no right to 1) void that from RP and 2) pause RP and relog to use a client-side repair bug. You're talking about us as though we're trying to promote win RP, but you literally relogged so that you couldn't be caught, knowing your car would be faster if it had tires? At first he told me to leave as fastest i can so.(2) if i was going to relog in the drug lab he probably was going to rob me again and take the pistol he forgot .(3) if i was not going to pause the rp you were going to catch me which means 20k of debt and 3 hours jail (because admins are not responding every time you do /amembers you see 10-12 admins online but all off duty )so let me tell you what happens .you were going to prison me for 3 hours and one of the admin would probably going to accept my report after i was jail what he was going to say is obvious : (Oh well im sorry i cannot void the role play because it is finished and you are in jail have fun with 20k debt and wasting 3 hours of your life in jail.) @Donovan mr.Donovan i know you are probably going to give me a warning (Offense) for pausing the role play but this is not my fault because Staff members dont really care about the in game reports .so if you want to no longer see such things happening put at least one admin on duty to answer reports (You can change it by shifts) Thanks. Players can not pause roleplay, nor can they make administrative decisions. You asked the other involved parties if they consent to you relogging to fix your tires, and they clearly stated no, but you went ahead with it anyway. This is inappropriate and should not occur again. I would also like to address your claim that "Staff members don't really care about the in game reports", this is very much not true, there are literally hundreds of reports taken in-game every single day, the problem is that the community is very large, and staff are players as well, who wish to spend time roleplaying, and as such can not spend all of their playing time taking and resolving reports. It is extremely disrespectful towards volunteer staff that are here to make your experience better to speak like that, and should it occur again, further action will be taken.
