Fear Roleplay (FRP) Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life. Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger: • When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range. • When you’re in a vehicle that is stalled or turned off and a weapon is aimed at you close range. • When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger. • Driving a vehicle in an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover. Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger: • When you are in a car which engine is not stalled. • When you have a firearm drawn and are facing the other person before they attacked. • When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you. As a victim, whose life is in direct danger: • You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker. • You cannot call 911 or call your friends or allies to aid you. How did the player break the rule(s)? Basically as it seen in video, after discussing and stuffs we decided to rob the officer and so told him to put hands up but he RP'ed as "/do as I slide my hands up I slide across a panic button", Literally Fear-RP'ed and called for backup while guns are pointed at him. I talked to PD Command OOCLY about the situation in teamspeak. I explained to this person that I under no circumstances thought this would be considered FEARRP. As you can see in the video, I am clearly putting my hands up. In real life, if someones putting their hands up it would be EXTREMELY easy to swipe your hand across a button on your radio, depending on where your hands were at during the time. I roleplayed my actions, and I complied with orders putting my hands up. Its not like I took a gun out and started to shoot or run away for that matter. Despite my feelings for what I did, I understand where the player is coming from and I personally wont let something like this happen again. Thanks for making this report as you should have! Personally in a "real life" situation I wouldn't press a panic button in front of 2 gang members actively aiming a gun at me. I would've gunned you down after I saw you doing the /do but I was scared of you possibly accusing me of DM, which you probably would have considering you didn't think this was FRP. To be honest, I already said what I said, and Im not really to bothered by it at all. The rule specifically states you may not call anyone for backup. I never /CALLED/RADIOD for backup, I specifically discretely wiped my hand on my radio button as I was raising my hands in the air.The fact that you TWO there in the first place ICLY reacted to my /do is metagaming, so if anyone here gets in trouble, it should be the both of YOU for ICLY reacting to a /do you would not of been able to see in the first place. (Yes, posting the report was fine - if thats your thing, but not ICLY reacting in the moment. Even calling an admin would of been better. Please dont report a someone when your breaking a rule yourself in the video.
