Specific rule(s) broken: PG

11. Powergaming

We've seen an increased amount of players trying to perform alternative role-play such as hiding their keys or license and then using this role-play to influence future role-play, e.g. when you're stopped by the police and claim that you have no license on you.  Because of this, we'll be adding the following line to the powergaming rule:

  • If you perform an action which will influence potential RP in the future, you must have OOC evidence of performing said RP. E.g. hiding your keys/license and not having them on you. Your OOC evidence should consist of a recording or screenshot and it needs to be timestamped (/time). This RP would only be valid for 48 hours or until your character dies and NLR is triggered. The time limit does not apply to rule 7.

And just to clarify, this is not a "new" rule, this is the ideology that the staff team has followed since the beginning. We wanted to add this for easier understanding among our players.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

As you can see in the video I roleplayed giving the money and taking the gun at the same time, he agreed on it with /do but then still drove off without giving the gun which is obviously powergaming.

Evidence of rule breach:

Edit: I PMed him when I reported him but when an admin came, we found out he logged off, his id wasn't 23 anymore so I couldn't tell him I posted to complaint.

REPORT PENDING

Thank you for creating this player report.

The following people will be tagged/notified to give their side of the story within the next 24 hours:

  • Jack_Jordan (notified IG), explain to me why you agreed in /do that you handed the weapon over and then proceeded to drive away.

What happens if the person does not respond? We will review the evidence again and provide our conclusion.
What might help my case? Posting evidence of your own POV is always a very handy tool. If you don't have any evidence at your disposal, the best you can do is tell the story in full detail on how it happened on your side. Be honest and do not lie in your reply.

Mickeyyy

I don't think that this should be a problem cause once I got scammed by a dude in /do and he did the same thing to me and my friend reported him but it

didn't get accepted so i scammed this guy like the one who scammed me i don't know if its actually against the rules or not but my friends report got denied

How did your application even get accepted since you don't know what 'Powergaming' is?

REPORT ACCEPTED

Thank you for your patience and comments provided for this report.

After reviewing the evidence provided, I've decided to apply the following punishments to the following players:

  • Jack_Jordan will receive a NonRP punishment for power gaming. You agreed in the /do that you were simultaneously exchanging money for the gun. But instead you decided to flee. I have consulted with other staff and we all agree.

Not happy with the outcome? If you have received a punishment that you do not agree with, you are entitled to a fair punishment appeal that follows the guidelines and format provided. Otherwise, the conclusion of this report is final.

Did the reporting party lose any items worth above 25.000 dollars as a result of this report? If you would like to request a refund, you may do so within our refund and transfer requests section, as long as your request follows the guidelines and format provided.

Regards,
Mickeyyy
