14. Deathmatch (DM)

• Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason.

• Examples of valid reasons to attack another player:

• If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property.

• If they report you to the police for a serious crime.

• If they are not in compliance with demands, attempt to escape, or call other players for help in a situation where they are required to display fear under fear roleplay rules.

• A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands.

• A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands.

• If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s).

• Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt.

• Attacking another player with no engagement in roleplay is not allowed.

• Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of:

  1.  Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.)

  2.   Someone is attempting to take your life.

  3.   Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen.

• You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

Hey so I was on patrol during dead hours. While I attempted to pull someone over in a white vehicle, more vehicles shot past me belonging to other gang members from a said different gang, A fight broke out between them both while I placed a few calls for back up from PD through my radio. Once a man with an AK-47 was downed and another was about to be killed, the one being the victim that the gang members were chasing who was complying with fear RP, I snuck up behind the suspect and asked him to put his hands up as he held the other man at gun point, The man was identified as a threat and I dispatched him promptly with my shotgun. 

Now, Here's where this insane case starts. A gentlemen in yellow who I'm escorting to the cruiser picked up the heavily modified AK off of one of the corpses didn't quite comply when I demanded him off of his bike. Eventually he did get off and he was cuffed and brought over to a cruiser from PD. I eyed the three gentlemen across the street who were FACING the opposite side of the highway and were waiting for us to 'arrest' his fellow gang member so they had DM permission while speaking on their radios. 

The minute I shut the cruiser door on the lad, They all started getting off their bike and drawing out their guns. Due to the force continuum that we follow in the sheriff department, I was only allowed to aim if a firearm was pulled out but not actively aimed. Once the gun was pointed up at the PD officer and myself, I fired off the first shots to incapacitate the little goofballs. When I moved away from my cruiser in a firefight..

Once I stepped away from the cruiser, suddenly a black brawler without its lights off SPED right next to the cruiser where a medic was treating a 10-16, Nearly hitting both of them, the detective and possibly killing Barret. 

The initial driver of the brawler was Jace Bianchi (ID 95) if the intel I gathered later was right, who decided he wasted his first vehicular hit and handed off his vehicle to Leonardo Possum (ID 26) to abuse the system for him to make another brawler ram attempt. But I figured Jace/ ID 95 was simply driving in a panic despite all the lights and sirens the first time he came around.

Now what really pissed me off in the moment is the same BRAWLER with a DIFFERENT DRIVER was passed off to a different driver for a same VDM attempt, Leonardo/ID 26 who I also had not really said anything to tried and this time CLEARLY had the intent to run me over after the gun fight was over and even came on the wrong lane of travel to do so. Using the SAME VEHICLE to attempt to kill me, I quickly dropped Leonardo like a bad drug habit.  It's why I'm only reported him and not Jace. 

As for the IC and OOC mixing, Once we got him and the goofballs to prison, I captured this. The NONRP accusation is the fact he drove off of the scene of the shootout, flagged down his friend Jace, Borrowed the brawler and swung back around in an attempt to run me down after he already disengaged from the roleplay.

As for the goofballs on the motorcycles that were talking on the radios just after being shotgunned by me, I don't really seek any punishment for them because they were good sports. But that's up to the moderator and staff who take the case.

apologies Brawnkoh, I dont actively record I just have the ability to save the last 5 mins of gameplay if I feel something has happened worth saving. none the less my understanding was that the player who actually killed me in the brawler was attempting to hit the cop that downed me but I also thought that the player who did this has absolutely instigated on the sheriff before hand. I may be completely wrong on this but this was my understanding.

It put some of my concerns to rest with the reported parties. Leonardo, please avoid using phrases like "lol" in IC chat. I realize in this generation, people do say "lul" and variations of the sort. But let's not make a habit of that. Lastly, please ensure you are not speaking on radio frequencies when police are standing over you with heavy weapons. (Seen in extended video) This decision is final.
