14. Deathmatch (DM)

• Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason.

• Examples of valid reasons to attack another player:

• If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property.

• If they report you to the police for a serious crime.

• If they are not in compliance with demands, attempt to escape, or call other players for help in a situation where they are required to display fear under fear roleplay rules.

• A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands.

• A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands.

• If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s).

• Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt.

• Attacking another player with no engagement in roleplay is not allowed.

• Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of:

  1.  Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.)

  2.   Someone is attempting to take your life.

  3.   Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen.

• You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

ID 29 shooting me without a proper reason.

Asked him a couple of times through pms what his reasons were to shoot me.

1. Stealing a comet retro from his gang member/ally, which wouldn't make sense since it isn't his property

2. showing my bank account when being told not to, this happened about 10 minutes before. which also wasn't the case I roleplayed pulling my phone out and opening the bank account, I did a ./do it would show $11,500,000 I never rped turning it to him.

3. Not playing his "What are the odds game."

Hello and thanks for taking the time to make this report. In the first interaction with you we saw you in a stalled comet retro that belonged to one of our crew. We had you get out the car and get on your knees. You complied and also complied when I frisked you. You started talking smack after all this about you being richer than us, which as I stated didn't matter to me. We then told you to run away and you responded by saying you were going to show me your bank account. You decided not to fear for your life in this instance. Myself and the other Wanted member involved decided to let you live while taunting  you as you decided to run away as soon as soon you showed us. All the while in disregard of our demands. You found us at Bayview maybe 5-10 minutes later where you decided to taunt us again. I crouched behind a wall at Bayview and waited until you were distracted so I could get a gun on you and give you valid demands. When that was possible I made you put your hands up and get off the bike again. We talked for a bit and I decided to have you play a game of 'Odds' I gave you multiple chances to respond to this to which you did not. You ended not just ignoring the demand, but also insulting me in the process. At that point I decided to pull the trigger. 

 

I will be forwarding the video to whomever takes this report as it contains staff chat.

Honestly, I didn't really get what the dude was trying here so I asked him why he was going to kill me.

I did not receive the video from MonikerOne. 

 

You fail to follow his demands therefore he shoots you. To me, it appears you are not following demands due to rule play. The OOC rule knowledge of losing a game being a very poor reason to kill someone. That is what it appears is happening here with your statements to him and refusal to follow demands at gunpoint. Would you say to someone with a gun pointed at you, "That doesn't make any sense and gives you no reason to shoot me"? No you wouldnt.

 

Now, due to the demands not being followed I do not know the intention of weather or not you would have been shot over a game. Therefore I cannot speculate weather or not he would have followed through. All I know is you failed to follow demands at gunpoint and got shot for it.

 

Yes, killing someone over a game is a silly reason to shoot someone however it never got to that point. 

But, playing around the rules like you are and ignoring demands at gunpoint due to your rule knowledge is rule play.
