Deathmatch (DM) Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player or their property without a proper roleplay reason. Examples of valid reasons to attack another player: • If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property. • If they report you to the police for a serious crime. • If they are not in compliance with demands, attempt to escape, or call other players for help in a situation where they are required to display fear under fear roleplay rules. A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands. A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands. If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s). Vehicles cannot be used to attack another player more than once including a failed attempt. Attacking another player with no engagement in roleplay is not allowed. Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of: Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.) Someone is attempting to take your life. Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen. You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason. How did the player break the rule(s)? ID 204 Tazed me off my bike without even giving me a full second to comply. Also under the current FearRP rule it clearly states you do not have to comply with demands unless under FRP - Tazers do not engage FRP, therefore even if I did drive off he was still not allowed to taze me under the current rule set. A tazer is classed as a non lethal weapon, but this is still considered attacking another player even though they are not required to follow FRP - Breaching DM. If a criminal was to take a tazer and use it on people without demands they would receive a DM punishment. Rulesets should be applied on an even basis and should not be evaluated on an individual basis based on IC choices. If I was given time to comply with demands/make an escape I wouldn't be as annoyed about this. However, the reported party fired far too fast - so fast that he hadn't even finished making demands. Final point I would like to add is a tazer does in fact inflict hp damage after enough shots it will drop by a noticible amount. A few things I would like to address, A tazer does not make you fear for your life you are right, But it is also not deathmatch to use a tazer when he has asked you to get off your bike and you have clearly tried to escape, You also pulled out your lethal weapon while in a tazer animation putting the officers life in direct danger. A police car blocks you in and one officer approaches with his tazer out you know what is happening so you try to escape the officer tazes you and does his job. I would also like to ask @HvKz Lucas_London do you think it is good roleplay or even appropriate to ram your contender full speed into an area your friend is in, Gas pumps are in, And police officers are in. Ramming into the car at full speed in a gas station ending up killing yourself is showing zero fear for your own life and is a unrealistic action that you would not dream of doing in a real life situation. As shown in the clip, the taser is used while the demand is still being given. How can this be considered reasonable? How does the officer know I will not stop after the demand is given? If this is allowed, it sets a precedent that anyone can use a taser on another player without demands, as long as they have RP reason to do so. As a criminal, if I run up to another player that's on a motorbike, aim a taser at them and as they drive off shoot them with it. This will emphatically be considered DM. While this is true, PD does not operate under a different rule set. Imagine the same scenario but for criminal. A criminal car blocks a player in on a motorbike, another criminal approaches with a taser aimed at the occupant. Before the criminal holding the taser can finish his demand, he's shot the victim off the bike. I strongly believe criminal "does his job" would not apply here and they'd be getting punished. I have a few quick point s to make. 1. You were not injured by being tazed which was entirely valid. And was timed perfectly as I jumped out as we went behind the petrol pump. Demands were given and you attempted to flee. 2. From what perspective could your friends have seen you to make the call to " ram them" as the cruiser was blocking their view. 3. No prior RP at all from your friends before killing themselves , you and my colleague by ramming. 4. Why wouldn't you just have RPed your way out of it as a group? You had us outnumbered but the best you came up with was Ram them. As I said if the admin taking the report feels the need I can make a more formal response when back at my PC. Lucas London Posted September 1, 2019 Report Share Posted September 1, 2019 (edited) Hi ID 18 i was the driver off the contender (Lucas London), As i drove through the gas station for me i hit only the 2 officers and continued driving i lived the explosion as it teleported me back to a complete different place where we was before hand where there was alot off people 2 medics was off duty and gave me CPR and a guy put me in his trunk and toke me to central MD and i lived iv got a screenshot off me led injured on the floor after i teleported. The explosion at the gas station was clearly desync considering one off the officers didnt even end up injured plus i was driving through the gas station at a controlled speed. Which wasnt fast at all. I have discussed this report with many other staff members and we are all in agreeance with No deathmatch punishment will be given for the taze as you had been identified, But a non-RP punishment will be given to the driver of the contender. The reason for the punishment is showing no fear for his own life and his passengers or his friends life that is in the gas station with the two police officer's we see you driving into the gas station in an attempt to ram the police officers as an unrealistic action. Putting your own life at risk and your friends who are involved. Lucas_London Will receive a Non-RP punishment.
