13. Fear Roleplay (FRP)

• Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life.

• Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger:

• When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range.

• When you’re in a vehicle that is stalled or turned off and a weapon is aimed at you close range.

• When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger.

• Driving a vehicle in an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover.

• Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger:

• When you are in a car which engine is not stalled.

• When you have a firearm drawn and are facing the other person before they attacked.

• When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

This player pulled a weapon on me while in clear danger for their life as to show no fear in RP.

Because of this rule breach I was forced to kill the player in fear that I would have lost my life if I didn't shoot.  The matter has ended up with me getting attempted murder charges. This I can somewhat understand as I did in the end intend to kill him once he pulled a weapon, but in doing so he broke a rule and now my guy has a huge record that isn't in my opinion justified with what happened. I have more screen shots and what not if needed.

 

I am not looking to get this player banned or attack this player but to simply ask my record be ex-sponged. I and him were both in the wrong as the reason I was pointing a gun at this person in the first place is because he made a joke about my dead dad and suicide that was unbelievable to me.  This is what sparked everything in the first place and where it ended.

 

I also took my time in reporting this to gather evidence worthy of posting and to verify from friends in game that I even had a case in the first place. After talking with many people about the situation and what happened I have been told to report this and see what can be done to fix my character in game and his record reflecting this issue.  Thank you for reading.
