ID 15 And ID 64 (Powergaming, NRP, MG, FearRP)

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: ID 15, and ID 64
Date of interaction reported: 27/08/2019
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1566905988

Your characters name: Revelt DeOrtiz

Other player(s) involved: Anass Shariff

Specific rule(s) broken:

8. Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  • Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.

  • Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay:

• Cop Baiting - Provoking a reaction from emergency services without a realistic reason.

• Mercy Killing - Asking to be killed by a friend (Killing a friend falls under deathmatching).

• Unrealistic stunt jumping or the use of an expensive vehicle to ram into other vehicles.

• Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for crimes or submerging any vehicle in water.

• Swimming in water for an unrealistic amount of time or without a destination during a chase.

  • Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof.

  • In a situation where a player gets away from an incident where they're being chased/pursued, they must wait 15 minutes before they can logout. Players should not instigate roleplay situations if they do not have time to play it through.

  • Players who ignore answering roleplay commands directed at them, e.g. /do.

  • In a situation where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the same advantages as they have had before their leave.

10. Powergaming (PG)

  • Forceful roleplay that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered powergaming. Other players must be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of actions.

  • Roleplay of unrealistic actions like super strength is another form of powergaming.

  • All statements in /DO must be factually true in the roleplay as it sets grounds for roleplay.

  • Roleplay is required before forceful server commands which may be used without consent from the other party if they are unresponsive and not typing for 30 seconds or more.

  • A player cannot use the faction management script to destroy a faction as it is OOC.

  • Government funded faction members must not abuse the salary system and must go off-duty when they are not performing their faction duties.

  • If you perform an action which will influence potential RP in the future, you must have OOC evidence of performing said RP.

    • OOC evidence should consist of a recording or screenshot and it needs to be timestamped (/time).

    • RP would only be valid for 48 hours or until your character dies and NLR is triggered. The time limit does not apply to rule 7.

9. Metagaming (MG)

  • Metagaming is the act of relaying IC information through any method not considered IC that has the potential to change current or future roleplay scenarios or using that information.

  • Mixing IC and OOC information without any benefit is a minor MG offense. For example, a player uses IC chat to call someone by their player ID displayed above their head.

13. Fear Roleplay (FRP)

  • Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life.

  • Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger:

• When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range.

• When you’re in a vehicle that is stalled or turned off and a weapon is aimed at you close range.

• When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger.

• Driving a vehicle in an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover.

  • Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger:

• When you are in a car which engine is not stalled.

When you have a firearm drawn and are facing the other person before they attacked.

• When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you.

  • As a victim, whose life is in direct danger:

• You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker.

• You cannot call 911 or call your friends or allies to aid you.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

so i was rolling through the city alone for do some Citizen Arrest RP (Helping legal worker that getting robbed).
then both of these people coming try to rob me and i try to escape and call some backup from radio which is my friend.
i always get Vehicle Ramming Bike vs Car until i got stalled which is non RP. i dont mind it, i continue the RP. and when i was shouting to put their handsup. these guy take out his gun and shooting at me earlier. so i shoot him back. the another guy when i shout him to put his handsup, he run and i try to warning shoot him (2 times shoot near body) but he run. and then he comeback again. i fight him because he trying to communicate save his friend item without ingame radio features  which is MG, i dont mind it. then when i point my gun right behind of him. and shout handsup he run fearRP. i dont mind it. because i still continue the RP both of them down. then i take them to hospital to do a detain Roleplay. but after i /dropbody they run like have a strong power after a surgery and gun on my hand even dont pointing, i dont take a shoot because it was NCZ.

Hello, and thank you for making this player report! @Revelt

First and foremost, @Revelt do you have any extended footage leading up to the situation which can be seen in the provided evidence above? Preferrably footage where the reported party can supposedly be seen ramming your vehicles using their bikes? If so, please provide it in your response.

Secondly, player John_Niz | ID 64 will receive 24 hours to respond with his side of the story, and explain the reasoning for his actions which can be seen in the provided evidence above. Why did you disregard the roleplaying demands of the reporting party and in turn run away all while he had you under direct gunpoint at close range? As the reported party does not have a forum account, he will be notified of this report in-game.

Thirdly, player Anass_Shariff | @AnassDC | ID 56 will receive 24 hours to respond with his side of the story, and explain the reasoning for his actions which can be seen in the provided evidence above. Why did you at numerous occasions carry the body of the reported party without engaging in roleplay prior? Are you aware that this is in violation of the powergaming rules and do you feel as if this is acceptable roleplay? In addition to being tagged on the forums, you will be notified of this report in-game.

Fourthly, player Dave_Lawrence | @CycloneDavid | ID 39 will receive 24 hours to respond with his side of the story, and explain the reasoning for his actions which can be seen in the provided evidence above. Can you please explain your reasoning for sending the private message to the reporting party, which can be seen at the 5:12 mark of the provided evidence above. Do you feel as if relaying that type of information through out of character means is acceptable? In addition to being tagged on the forums, you will be notified of this report in-game.

I look forward to the responses of all players involved!

Kind regards,

Dqniel.

Hi @Dqniel.

Cutting out the radio chat was my goal here, and I realised the moment I sent the message that I should have sent it via text message ((even went as far as to say it to my Wife in the room the minute following when I hit enter)). It was very late in the evening for me when I was playing, which is not my excuse, but I sincerely apologize for this regardless. I consider myself a very dedicated member of this community that engages in what I believe is good quality RP whenever I am in game, as well as support for New Players in my role with DCC, with this being the one time I feel I came unglued with my decision. I knew from the moment I sent it that I went about it the wrong way, and hope you can see my sincerity in this apology and know its a mistake that won't be made again.

Kind Regards, Dave.

id 64 here. this happend i guess 1_2 weeks ago, why are you reporting now? i deleted my video from that suituation man...

i never saw this action from this pov. when i ran i thought he is far away from me and its not close range. i was not looking at behind so didn't see the his position. absolutely my fault at the both scenes. the second one i had the gun on him at the first place he went down the road and i thought he is running away to call the cops , so felt free to loot my friend and again because of the stress i had didn't realized that he is close to me and broke the rule. absolutely my bad and i apologies for this disgusting fearrp, never done that before and i don't know what was going on in my mind when i did that... .

@Revelt

ty for reporting this. didn't know i did this much of fearrp. i can give you back the money or anything else we robbed or destroyed from your property.just didnt see that pov and never looked back to see you. sorry.

and also i would add this that if you pm 'ed me on game about my rule breach at that time i would stop and talk to you about that.i am very sensetive about fearrp myself and could stop right there if you told me about the rulebreak.but what ever, it was not your responsibility to pm me about that. i deserve a strike and i accept that.

Hello, and thank you to everyone who has responded with their side of the story and explained the reasoning for their actions which can be seen in the provided evidence above. Prior to me concluding this report, i would like to ask one follow up question.

Player Aiden_Dimmig | @Aiden Dimmigg | ID 15 will receive 24 hours to provide his side of the story and explain the reasoning for his actions which can be seen in the provided evidence above. Do you consider brake checking and driving infront of a moving vehicle to be acceptable roleplay? Do you consider your overall conduct on the bike leading up to the aforementioned situation to be acceptable? In addition to being tagged on the forums, the reported party will be notified of this report in-game.

At first i can say i deleted my videos from what happened on that day because it was about two weeks ago .At second if you watch his footage you can see i was only chasing him and i was behind him so it was not my fault ramming him because when he stopped his vehicle i had 130km/h or more and i was pretty close to his vehicle so when he stops its normal i crash to his vehicle and thats all i can say Plus please make a time for reports cause i deleted my footage . for example make a rule that says we cannot report a player after 2 days of a suituation that happened early .Thanks Aiden Dimmig here

Hello, and thank you to everyone who responded with their side of the story and explained the reasoning for their actions which can be seen in the provided evidence above. After extensively reviewing the provided evidence as well as taking the statements of all parties involved into consideration, i have decided to conclude this report.

Player John_Niz will receive a Non-Roleplay punishment for breaching the Fear Roleplay rules | Offense #1.

In the provided evidence of this report, it can be seen that the reporting party places you under direct gunpoint at close range while making multiple demands for you to comply with. In turn, you disregard this completely and begin running away before ultimately getting gunned down as a result of it. The issue that arises with this situation is that your actions are not in accordance with our Fear Roleplay rules. If you are held under direct gunpoint at close range, which essentially means that you are in a vulnerable and life threatening situation, you are expected to display an adequate and realistic amount of fear for the life of your character, and follow every demand given to you as one instinctively would do in real life. The moment the reporting party aimed his weapon towards you, you were completely unarmed and defenseless which would mean that you are not exempt from acting under the fear roleplay rules, and your life was still in direct danger. It is of my belief that your first instinct while under direct danger should not be to disregard the fact that a weapon is aimed at you and run away, but rather comply with the demands being upon you as you were completely defenseless and unarmed at the time. I do however appreciate the fact that you are so sincere and apologetic about your actions. For future reference, i sincerely encourage you to be more cautious so that this remains an isolated incident which will not repeat itself in the future. Touching on the claim that player John_Niz would be metagaming - there is nothing in the provided evidence of this report that would suggest that player John_Niz metagamed, and as such this claim will be rejected on the basis of insufficient evidence.

Player Anass_Shariff will receive a warning for breaching the Powergaming rules.

In the provided evidence of this report, it can be seen that you repeatedly carry the body of the reported party without engaging in any type of roleplay. The issue that arises with this situation is that your actions are in violation of our Powergaming rules. You should not have begun carrying the reported party without fully engaging in proper roleplay through the use of /me’s and /do’s. Further attempts should have been done to roleplay carrying the reported party including giving him the ability to change the outcome of it. It is understandable that you were not aware of this rule existing, however there has been several announcements made surrounding carrying bodies and it is ultimately your responsibility as a player of Eclipse Roleplay to be familiarized and aware of all the server rules. In saying that, you will be receiving a warning in the form of an administrative log stating that you have been talked about this as to notify other members of staff should they encounter you for a similar issue at some point in the future.

Player Dave_Lawrence will receive a verbal warning for breaching the Metagaming rules.

In the provided evidence of this report, it can be seen that you relay what is seemingly in-character information through out of character means. This goes without saying, but as you relayed in-character information through a method which is not considered IC, with that information having the potential to change the mindset and actions of the reporting party and effectively alter the entire roleplaying scenario, you are in violation of our metagaming rules. The violation itself however is minor and as such i will instead of issuing a punishment give you a verbal warning and some guidance on what you can do differently should you ever be faced with a situation like this in the future.

Player Aiden_Dimmig will receive no punishment(s).

In the provided evidence of this report, it could be seen that player Aiden_Dimmig rams his bike into the vehicle of the reporting party. After further examination of the provided evidence, i have come to the conclusion that the seemingly purposeful and malicious ram from player Aiden_Dimmig was a result of some serious de-sync. The game mechanics would under normal circumstances (excluding desync) not allow a bike to ram a vehicle in the way it did in this situation and had this not been desync, player Aiden_Dimmig would have probably fallen off his bike at numerous occasions as a result of the collisions. Touching on the claim that player Aiden_Dimmig would be metagaming - there is nothing in the provided evidence of this report that would suggest that player Aiden_Dimmig metagamed, and as such this claim will be rejected on the basis of insufficient evidence.

Thank you for making this report! @Revelt

Report is accepted and archived.

Kind regards,

Dqniel
