Player(s) being reported: ID 6
Date of interaction reported: 08/25/2019
Unix time stamp from HUD: https://imgur.com/TW7s18i

Your characters name: Jin Kwang

Other player(s) involved: N/A

Specific rule(s) broken:

Fear Roleplay (FRP)

  • Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life.

  • Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger:

• When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range.

• When you’re in a vehicle that is stalled or turned off and a weapon is aimed at you close range.

• When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger.

• Driving a vehicle in an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover.

  • Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger:

• When you are in a car which engine is not stalled.

• When you have a firearm drawn and are facing the other person before they attacked.

• When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you.

  • As a victim, whose life is in direct danger:

• You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker.

• You cannot call 911 or call your friends or allies to aid you.

10. Powergaming (PG)

  • Forceful roleplay that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered powergaming. Other players must be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of actions.

  • Roleplay of unrealistic actions like super strength is another form of powergaming.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

After noticing the man locking-picking my car; I issued several demands with a weapon pointed at his face. I figure the fact he see me aim the weapon and he turned around to view me that the demands were heard. He proceeded to run for cover behind his car were I then open fired upon complete disregard to my commands. Which in it self is in breach of Fearp, he also unlocked his car then proceeded to re-lock it while down thus leading to Powergaming.

Evidence of rule breach:

Also attempted to out reach to just notify him of the rules; no reply

I understand that it may had been something you did not know, given the fact I tried out reaching for 20 minutes to educate and only threaten to use this as a last resort with no reply from you. Thus, the report being made in your name. I hope you take this experience and use it to develop yourself and the roleplay you provide towards the community. Since no major loss was accrued from me other then some potential rp. I will request this report be taken down.

Thank you for reaching out, communicating and coming to an agreement between one another. Prior to me concluding this report and archiving it, i would like to inform the reported party of our rules surrounding fear roleplay as he is both a new player, but had also clearly breached them in the situation seen below. The aim of this is not to punish the reported party, but more so teach him on how to appropriately respond to a similar situation should he be faced with one in the future.

If you are held under direct gunpoint at close range, which essentially means that you are in a vulnerable and life threatening situation, you are expected to display an adequate and realistic amount of fear for the life of your character, and follow every demand given to you as one instinctively would do in real life. As you were completely unarmed and defenseless at the time, you are not exempt from acting under the fear roleplay rules and your life was still in direct danger during this situation. It is of my belief that your first instinct while under direct threat should not be to try and run away while placed under gunpoint, but rather comply with the demands of the reporting party as you were at a clear disadvantage during this situation.

In saying that, it is however understandable that as a new player, you are still adapting an acclimating to the server and its rules, and therefore i will based on the recommendation of the reporting party reduce the punishment from a non-roleplay one down to a verbal warning. I sincerely urge you to revisit our rules surrounding fear roleplay and taking the information that you have been taught here for future reference.

Report is rejected and archived as per the request of the reporting party.

Kind regards,

Dqniel.
