Fear RP ID 222 & Powergaming ID 146

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: ID 222, ID 146
Date of interaction reported: 24/AUG/2019
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1566592628

Your characters name: Edward Mercer

Other player(s) involved: Walter Pembroke @SaltyPython

Specific rule(s) broken:

13. Fear Roleplay (FRP)
- Fear Roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your characters safety and life.
- Example (but not limited to), where your characters life is considered to be in direct danger:
-When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range.

10. Powergaming (PG)
- Forceful roleplay that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered powergaming. Other players must be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of actions.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

We had arrived on scene to an active store robbery. We manage to get all 3 player to surrender onto their knees. I cuff a player then dash outside to check our cruiser and i heard  a vehicle arrive. My partner 'Walter Pembroke' is dealing with ID 146, which you can see in the chat that he is not responding to RP. Walter then asks the player to respond in OOC chat to which the player runs out the store into his car and flees (which is caught in the video). ID 222 then decides to run outside and i draw my firearm to him telling him to stop, He then proceeds to fail FearRP by unlocking his car with a gun to his head, jumping in his car and fleeing the scene. This is captured in the video provided.

Evidence of rule breach: *Please be aware of volume i am loud*

REPORT PENDING

Thank you for creating this player report.

The following people will be tagged/notified to give their side of the story within the next 24 hours:

  • Matthias_Dyan can you please explain to me why you did not remove yourself from the car when the officer was no more than 3 feet from you, aiming a weapon and giving you orders. I understand the animation prohibits immediate response but it does not explain why you drove off instead.
  • Dan_Jack can you please explain why, when the officer was attempting to cuff you, you started typing then stopped but then decided to get up and escape once someone showed up. In other words, why did you not respond to the cuffing RP and decided to wait to escape and ignore RP.

What happens if the person does not respond? We will review the evidence again and provide our conclusion.
What might help my case? Posting evidence of your own POV is always a very handy tool. If you don't have any evidence at your disposal, the best you can do is tell the story in full detail on how it happened on your side. Be honest and do not lie in your reply.

Regards,
Mickeyyy

So once we got on the knees, I didn't really understand which guy was he trying cuff me or Matthias_Dyan, and actually it took a lot time to realize that. Once the guy on the bike came, both police officer got outside and I saw an opportunity to escape without breaking any Fear RP or other rules, so I did exactly so. I'm really sorry that I didn't catch the situation and respond correctly in the time.

I was the officer trying to arrest you; now I don't have footage of it as my Shadowplay screwed up, but I did not go outside, and I'm fairly certain YOU know that I didn't go outside either. I only went outside once you started belting it towards your car, after you ignored my RP. I would not have much reason to go outside as I had to wait and was ICly in the middle of cuffing you. However, this is kind of a he-said she-said situation. About you not knowing that I was trying to cuff you, I did specify on my /me that I was trying to cuff "the man in the monkey mask". Unfortunately this is all I can contribute.

Thank you for your patience and comments provided for this report.

After reviewing the evidence provided, I've decided to apply the following punishments to the following players:

  • @[email protected]Matthias_Dyan Will receive a NonRP Punishment for not complying to the officers orders.
  • @DanassDan_Jack Will receive a warning about making sure to be aware of roleplay, this is due to lack of evidence of where the officer was at the time of the escape.

Not happy with the outcome? If you have received a punishment that you do not agree with, you are entitled to a fair punishment appeal that follows the guidelines and format provided. Otherwise, the conclusion of this report is final.

Did the reporting party lose any items worth above 25.000 dollars as a result of this report? If you would like to request a refund, you may do so within our refund and transfer requests section, as long as your request follows the guidelines and format provided.
