Change the 911 info message

Recommended Posts

Hello, the current 911 message you get when someone calls 911 and the police/medics and they respond is (INFO): A unit has responded to your call at it's original location. I belive it would be more realistic if it would be written. (dispatcher): Remain calm, police is on it's way. Or different phrases that changes from time to time instead of the same all the time.

The whole system should be refined.

  • "Medical" > (Dispatch): "LSMD, Make sure you are safe. What's the medical emergency?"
    • "Explanation" > (Dispatch): "Stay in the area, we'll send a unit as soon as we can, provide medical treatment if possible."
    • *Unit Responds* > (Dispatch): "A unit is in route to your call location. Please stay in the area." (death closes the call)
  • "Police" > (Dispatch): "LSPD, Please make sure you are safe, what's the emergency?"
    • "Explanation" > (Dispatch): "Okay, we'll send a unit as soon as we can. You can stay on the line or hang up now."
      • If a player doesn't hang up, their call would move as if they were telling dispatch their location. If they hang up, their beacon would stop at the last location they were on with dispatch.
    • *Unit Responds* > Player is NOT informed a unit is in route (too often it's abused)
      • If the call is marked with (live), the officer responding to the call and /transfercall, to the officer's phone and continues to update their location.
      • Once the call is hung up on the player's side, it stops the beacon, if the officer hangs up, it reverts back to dispatch.

Maybe I made it a little more complicated then needed... but doesn't hurt to suggest and share these ideas, right?

Huge +1 to all of this!

This topic is discussable as this server does not need a change like this. But it doesn't change the fact that having a minor update like this wouldn't be bad! Therefore a +1 from me too!
