Lukas_Montana PG/NRP, OOC threats

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: Lukas_Montana(ID 69)
Date of interaction reported: 2019-08-20
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1566311918

Your characters name: Jonathan_Mercer (ID 100)

Other player(s) involved: various bystanders, screenshots given by Vivi_Levesque

Specific rule(s) broken:

8. Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  • Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.

  • Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay:

• Cop Baiting - Provoking a reaction from emergency services without a realistic reason.

• Mercy Killing - Asking to be killed by a friend (Killing a friend falls under deathmatching).

• Unrealistic stunt jumping or the use of an expensive vehicle to ram into other vehicles.

• Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for crimes or submerging any vehicle in water.

• Swimming in water for an unrealistic amount of time or without a destination during a chase.

  • Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof.

  • In a situation where a player gets away from an incident where they're being chased/pursued, they must wait 15 minutes before they can logout. Players should not instigate roleplay situations if they do not have time to play it through.

  • Players who ignore answering roleplay commands directed at them, e.g. /do.

  • In a situation where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the same advantages as they have had before their leave.

10. Powergaming (PG)

  • Forceful roleplay that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered powergaming. Other players must be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of actions.

  • Roleplay of unrealistic actions like super strength is another form of powergaming.

  • All statements in /DO must be factually true in the roleplay as it sets grounds for roleplay.

  • Roleplay is required before forceful server commands which may be used without consent from the other party if they are unresponsive and not typing for 30 seconds or more.

  • A player cannot use the faction management script to destroy a faction as it is OOC.

  • Government funded faction members must not abuse the salary system and must go off-duty when they are not performing their faction duties.

  • If you perform an action which will influence potential RP in the future, you must have OOC evidence of performing said RP.

    • OOC evidence should consist of a recording or screenshot and it needs to be timestamped (/time).

    • RP would only be valid for 48 hours or until your character dies and NLR is triggered. The time limit does not apply to rule 7.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

We were in the process of getting pulled over when Lukas_Montana RP's getting his AR from the "gun rack" in the back seat. This is clearly both non RP and power gaming. He is in a standard police cruiser of the sheriff's department. There is a scripted metal cage/barrier in the cruiser seperating the drivers (officers) from the potential suspects (those who would sit in the back). He would not be able to magically reach out through the cage to grab the weapon if the gun rack was there. But the second point being: Gun racks are never in the back seat on a standard cruiser, they are in the trunk. Why would the gun rack be placed where suspects are supposed to be sitting? They're not. Even if the cage would not be there in script, it would be there RPly as police cruisers especially as crime-filled and populated as Los Santos would have the barrier between the officers and the criminals being detained/arrested.

Second reason for this report is OOC threats, as you can see in this screenshot he says "If you wana go that road, i'll punish 74 for meta" after we question his ability to get an AR-15 from the back seat of the cruiser. Seemingly trying to force us to not report him as he could hit id 74 with a meta rule break?  As you can see from the screenshots, it was whispered to her by ID 38 that the officer was calling SD , and not to mention his car door was open the entire time, so everyone would be able to hear his radio calls.

Picture from the back of a standard police cruiser. Notice the clear cage/barrier and the very distinct lack of a gun rack.

Hello & thank you for the report.

There was no POWERGAMING / NON-RP, Fa1n was being sarcastic in /b about it being in the gun-rack, we have told him to not be sarcastic in the future to avoid confusion. The person who is driving his car is Tony Henge, our founder and leader, and he confirms that Montana had his Carbine Rifle out from a previous situation; and after speaking to Montana, he said he did a /me about turning around and retrieving the weapon out of courtesy to not make it seem as if he pulled it out of nowhere. There is no server rule requiring the usage of /me's to obtain weapons, PD/SD enforces that internally as a courtesy to the community. Nothing in Montana's /me indicates that he reaches to the back seat area of the car.

As for the "OOC Threats", we don't see anything here as a threat; he could have punished a player for metagaming but chose not to, perhaps he came off as hostile with his response but there was no malicious intention with his message in /b. If NBDY saw it as threatening or offensive, he would have stepped in himself.

Just to clarify, even if the gun-rack is located in the front of the car, there is nothing wrong with doing a /me about turning around to grab a gun from it; you literally turn your body towards the rack to retrieve a gun. PD/SD knows where the gun-rack is located as they are required to become qualified and take a test in order to carry a weapon like the Carbine Rifle, once they reach the rank required for it.
