Jamerson Dingle (6.6 Non-Roleplay)

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: Jamerson Dingle (1515_5581)(45)

Date of rule breach: 10/04/18 to present

Time of rule breach: N/A

Your characters name: Matthew_Robert (since changed to Matthew_Carwyn)

Other players involved: N/A

Specific rule broken: 6.6 Non-Roleplay "Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay."

How did the player break the rule?: This player knowingly violated the standard for RP by choosing to bypass all required steps for repairing vehicles that are made well aware upon initiation of the mechanic occupation. It is made evident in the video posted below, that this player "promoted poor quality roleplay" by avoiding the mandatory steps that any IRL mechanic would find necessary to repair an automobile, resulting in "actions that are unrealistic".

Though this may seem like a petty report, the problem began when it became reoccurring. Multiple eye-witnesses have reported the same activity: Failing to perform any RP before using the /mechservice command, and in some cases (two that I am aware of) even making a mockery of the RP by writing one line of RP reading something along the lines of "/me skidaleebops it". The reason the video is dated is due to the fact that I did not initially want to report him because I didn't know it would be continuous, but this is the only hard evidence I have to prove his behavior, other than discord messages between himself and I.

I would like to reiterate that this report is in no way, shape, or form meant to spite Jamerson Dingle's position at LSC, but I don't find it fair that he holds such a coveted position when there are others far more qualified for it. (and this is not a scheme to fast track myself to his position because I strongly believe I am not as qualified as some of my co-workers) His position at the company, I understand, is not a problem for staff, but in the grand scheme of things, his actions represent the server, and hurt the integrity of the player-base as a whole. As we all know, a rigorous test was required in order to enter the Eclipse RP server. No one is above the rules. We are all held to a standard.

I thank you for taking the time to read this, and hope that a well thought out, and responsible conclusion can be made.

Honestly Matthew I cannot believe how Malicious you are being after failing a test even though I helped you. Either way I'll give some back story that won't get me off this report at all but would hope somebody could empathise.

Currently in real life me and my partner are going through hard times and my partner is very down a lot recently so she comes into talk with me, some times I have to stop what I'm doing and turn around and talk to her. I will always prioritise here over any game, so in this situation I can probably tell you my partner came in extremely upset and as I was in the garage I looked away to talk to her and then took the bike out and began to talk to her again.

I also recall since sleeping on seeing the footage that this bike was recoloured twice as the person coloured it the first time and it didn't change so I did an 'OOC' colour change for them to hopefully fix the issue for them.

I cannot recall whether it was exactly that bike or not.

Also I'm not sure if this is seen as fail RP since although the RP would be very poor my guy still pulls out a hammer to work on the bike etc, I know it's not RP but hey ho.

As I stated in discord towards my fellow team mates I am appalled at this footage and would never do something so stupid, certainly not in front of someone unless I had to. As a manager at LSC I try to show the up most professional RP etiquette.

It is just unfortunate someone who is malicious for absolutely no reason is trying to ruin my reputation. He fully well knew this was an internal and not an external issue what was already being handled.

I will upload the conversation between be and Matthew and what led him to make this ridiculous report which was already being handled.

https://pastebin.com/RUm8VjhY

Please review this as the footage shown is over a week old and he has only just submitted it now as a way of trying to hurt me due to him not passing a test.

Thank you for taking the time to read,

James.

"OOC color change" Wow never heard that before, all they have to do to fix the issue is do /modview in front of the ledge, and you say it was already being handled, but it has come to my realization that this is a matter of rule breach, not company policy breach.

It's a policy breach. But anyway the OOC colour change was not to change his colour but to simply fix the big where the colour of the vehicle stays the same.

Since the vehicle did not change colour first time the RP is broken so I went back in after editing slightly just to change it and bring it straight back out to the customer.

Once again, you are just doing this because some how you are so upset about a 5 minute test.

The thing that put me off to make this report is that you were critiquing my rp (in which ELIZABETH even told you you don't have to type down backing the tow truck up to the car because you just do that it's not a command) when you don't even rp yourself at all. Your minimalistic and lazy. this IS a rule breach, not a company breach, because you FAILRP'd. You do what you want around anyone that you think can't get you in trouble.

There is no OOC color change, we all know that if it doesn't show they can do /modview and it will fix it.

Stop making a fool of yourself and man up to your mistakes.

I asked James what makes the questionnaire a pass and James Carwyn the owner said it is down to the person marking it. Again you seem to forget that wasn't the only thing you got wrong. The questionnaire is to see whether you understand the handbook, that is all once you understand it everyone has a laugh from time to time and as seen in the text chat you try use that against me for some reason even though I was helping you.

Modview does not always fix this issue.

Making a fool out of myself? Coming from the person making the most pathetic and obnoxious report I have ever seen?

This video is old and is coming from spite. You never even attempted to inform me that you made a report on me, nice one.

@Darren When did this incident occur?

Also did you take this up with your faction leader James Carwyn? @ABroHam

This specific incident occurred about a week or so ago but this has been going on for over a month. I did take this up with higher-ups at LSC, but I feel this is more so a rule breach because he is doing something that would be impossible to do IRL.

Again please can you supply some evidence?

What do you mean? The YouTube video is the evidence, as I stated in the summary, this is the only evidence I have (other than you admitted to doing /me skidaleebops it in discord messages) of you doing this, and decided to post it only because the behavior continued.

Thank you both for sharing both your sides of the story.

I would like to remind @Darren the below:

Please do not take reporting another player lightly and reserve player reports for situations that have caused severe loss or were abused for benefit. Consider if you could possibly teach this player or if you've tried to come to a resolution on your own. Reporting another player should be reserved for your final options when a rule breach has occurred. Always try to teach other players in the community, especially with newer players, as well as help them truly understand your point of view prior to simply reporting them if something doesn't go your way.

@FireCracker please ackowledge that this is poor roleplay. As a senior at LSC, you should be setting an example.

@Darren There is no severe loss. You did not approach Jamerson Dingle to point out his mistakes. It also puzzles me why you waited a week before raising the report.

I have made @ABroHam aware of this report and have requested him to come up with his own resolution. While there is a clear lack of roleplay, the obvious route should have been to raise this with the player himself and then the faction leader; rather than at an adminstrator level.

Report denied and archived.
