Stranger 9945_8039 + 8725_324 Powergaming / Not trying to RP

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: Stranger 9945_8039 + 8725_324

Date of rule breach: 09/10/2018

Time of rule breach: 19:00 UTC+1

Your characters name: Roberto Sanchez

Other players involved: Noah Baxtor, Paulo Witherfork, few more PD members.

Specific rule broken:  6.4.2 Roleplay of unrealistic actions is another form of powergaming. For example, roleplay of having super powers, driving a
vehicle while your character is handcuffed, shooting a weapon while your character is injured.

How did the player break the rule?: Basically, I was in a huge police chase about 45 minutes prior - I knew I was heavily wanted and wanted to continue
the RP after I had died. I crashed my bike and RPed that I had broken my neck and was unconscious. Wanting a good RP situation, I called for a medic and
in the call I RPed slipping away/going unconscious/dying. After I made the call, Police responded. ((Additional info - If I wanted to OOCly die and pretend
nothing happened, I wouldn't have called as no one was near me and I could have easily just got the free TP to MD, come back for my bike and continue but
I wanted to have a good RP situation)). Once the first unit responded (Stranger 9945_8039 + 8725_324) I said "death RP good for you?" in OOC chat. To which
Stranger 9945_8039 responded with "nah :)" acting extremely cocky even though I had RPed slipping away on the phone. I wanted to create good RP and have the
first responding officers to call a coroner and RP a body on the floor. Instead the detective chose to force me to un-rp something I had previously RPed and
powergamed me making a miraculous recovery to serve the jail time.

Also, I know that PD warrants still stand after death if the police are not involved in your death so I have no idea why I was not allowed to RP death as I
was not trying to evade jail time, just make a good RP situation.

Hey there!

As the Detective reported I will now share my side of the story along with reasoning for Death RP denial.

First of all, cops have all right to deny Death RP if they want to and it is not considered powergaming, however, in some situations, I understand there's little to no reason for us to deny it. (example when hitting a headshot with a shotgun from close range.).

The reason I had denied your Death RP request is the following:

1. We were with you just a minute after you dialed 911, while, obviously you were still conscious enough to make the phone call and say what happened to the dispatcher.

2. Upon arrival, the first thing you did before RP had even started was requesting Death RP as cops arrived. Knowing you were wanted, I thought you were attempting to avoid your prison time doing so and it would have been poor to just let you die.

3. After you told me in OOC that you literally RP'd everything in detail to get your Death RP (before PD arrived on the scene) I requested an admin to check if you did any RP at all, leading to death so I could reconsider. When I got the response that you just logged back in, then soon after died, made the call and did no additional RP, I have stuck with my decision to deny your death RP.

I feel sorry if your RP experience has been hurt in any way with this situation and I do hope you understand that if you do no RP at all prior to request Death RP, you're most likely never get permission to do so.

Hi there, thanks for the response.

1. I Rped slipping away on the phone, it does not matter if you were there 1 minute after the phone hung up or 10 seconds.

2. When you arrived, I requested death rp in /b as I needed to know that I was able to continue with the desired RP. If I began doing "/do would not be breathing" I would most likely have a powergaming report on me, so I requested permission. As stated in my report, I know that death, that does not involve police, allows for the warrants to still be active. I knew I would still be wanted after death. Instead you just cockily said "nah :)" and continued to force arrest RP on me.

3. I had to leave for OOC reasons before and I PMed @Lewis to make sure I was allowed to log off, once given the all clear - I logged off. About 15-20 minutes later, I logged back on and wanted to meet up with @PedroLuis to see if he was still being chased. Once I crashed my bike at a high speed, I OOCly thought I could make a good death RP situation out of the (knowing that I would still be wanted after death as police were not involved in my death).

Comment on your closing statement - ICly, there was lots of RP before I logged on as we were in a huge pursuit that lasted +- an hour. I logged out for 15 minutes for OOC reasons and got back as soon as possible. I had been shot at, crashed multiple times and finally crashed into an injured state.
