Kraah
Player(s) being reported: 120, 133, 50, 150, 85, 112. Date of interaction reported: 28/MAY/2022. Unix time stamp from HUD: 1653705459 Your character name: Jon McCornish Other player(s) involved: Noah Carlile, Victoria McJohnson, Bill Breacher, Sebastian Papadakis, Josheph Sanchez Specific rule(s) broken: 13. Fear Roleplay (FRP) Fear Roleplay is the concept of showing appropriate care and concern to preserve your character's safety and life. A player is not showing proper fear if they run while on foot/bike or in an unpowered vehicle and a weapon is aimed at them at close range, or if they drive into an active shootout more than once without the intent of providing cover or fleeing with it. How did the player break the rule(s)? (300 words maximum)\ We received a 911 call about a possible bank robbery on route 68, upon arriving at the turns out it was the store next to it. We got into a join TAC with the metro units already on scene. In total there was 2 SED operators, 1 Sheriff and 3 metro members all heavily armed with automatic weapons and more on the way. I assume we got spotted and when they started running out demands were issued all while 6 firearms was aimed at them. Other than 150, who spoke on the radio while under FearRP, they all took off completely ignoring our presence. I understand it's a complicated thing to control a crowd running out but most of them were clearly targeted. iTears
Hi there this is Tanaka Inagawa I was in charge of this op when they told me they were PM’d due to a rule break I immediately called for a out of city meeting and explained the rule break after hearing their side of the story. They were in clear fault here in this situation. They are new to crime and from my understanding not familiar with being in a FearRp situation. I also called for an admin right away where chatted with admin arrta. these are good people and would like to ammends they all know what was wrong with this situation and will not make these actions again. just like to point out I was in a scout car west so I wasn’t aware of the initial rule break until after. ash816
Hi all, well it seems that it was everyone who was inside the stores first time ever really doing stores and having a police response so please bear that in mind that we arent 100% sure of the actions that should happen in these types of situations! From my understanding of others and my pov (which does differ from the female cop) she wasnt aiming at much / any one in particular (i seemingly phased through her)- as you can see in their POVs most of them were stationed outside the wrong building and our field of view was very limited coming out of the store. https://streamable.com/h6zi8m I only had a split second to try to assess this, didnt seem like i was being aimed at in particular and wasnt aware of the cops to our left (i think in his pov you can see he is trying to give demands whilst whispering) My reactions (and others) in this matter were heavily influenced by having never done anything like this before in the city and the situation was immediately assessed by the leader of the op who addressed any questions that people had about what they should have done. Apologies for anyone who feels that this was intentional. thanks all. Ted T
hozbomb
Hey! Completely agree with Ted. This was a bit of a confusing situation in which we only had a split second to make a decision. Being new to crime (although having been in the city for a long while), this situation is something I'd never experienced which led to the wrong decision being made. We did not know before leaving the store if police were there as they hadn't made themselves known, the store was cleared and we ran to the bikes to get away (as we would without police presence). When I saw the police were there, I don't recall having any guns pointed at me and vividly remember the officer in front of the store had a gun on her hip, so I took this as an opportunity to attempt to evade. (Unfortunately I wasn't recording so I cant add my POV) This was the wrong call and something I wouldn't do again in the same situation. Thank you, and apologies. Waryerz
Joseph Sanchez here. Thanks to the staff for taking this report! I'm currently away from my PC so I'm leaving this here, tomorrow I will edit this to include my footage. To sum up the situation, a 911 call gave us a tip about a potential bank robbery on Route 68. As a 3-stacked SWAT Kamacho, I started driving to Route 68 as fast as possible. When we arrived, we sat on a hill across the street and watched SD arrive in a Kamacho and a bike. When SD dismounted, we drove toward the bank and noticed all the bikes in front. We parked on the far east side of the building. SD was stacked on the west side of the door and PD was stacked on the east side. The robbers ran out and we realized that they were hitting the store instead of the bank. We quickly adjusted and pointed our weapons at the robbers, shouting demands. The entrance was covered with many heavy weapons, mostly Carbine Rifles and Special Carbines. All of the robbers but one ignored the demands and got onto their bikes, driving off. The one robber that stayed continued to speak on his radio with every officer focused on him because he was the only target left. That about sums things up from my side. I'll include the footage tomorrow morning, which may have to be sent to the handling staff as it may or may not contain staff chat. I don't recall fully. EDIT: My POV has been sent to the staff handling this report. Edited May 29, 2022 by Waryerz
Kazjii
I do not have any POV saved from this situation, one of the links provided is from Bill_Breacher, one of the people pinged for POV inquiry.
GR_Seb
I do not have any POV saved from this situation but it's clear from the POV's presented by the original poster that there were multiple heavy weapons aimed at them and they ignored it. There were valid demands given to almost every single person but it's a pitty they decided to ignore them and stay with their "no fear to win" mentality. Arrta
REPORT CONCLUDED ――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――― After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, we've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following player(s): Vince_Santiago (150) - NonRP | Ignored officers at close range with heavy weapons drawn Jemma_Smith (112) - NonRP | Ignored officers at close range with heavy weapons drawn Rufus_Briggs (50) - NonRP | Ignored officers at close range with heavy weapons drawn Lenox_Ellis (120) - NonRP | Ignored officers at close range with heavy weapons drawn To explain the reasoning for the NonRP punishment(s) let’s first review the parts of the FearRP rule that impacted this decision. Fear Roleplay is the concept of showing appropriate care and concern to preserve your character's safety and life. We aim for balanced gameplay through this rule, and it may not be representative of real life at times. Players whose life is in direct danger must RP adequate fear and comply with demands given to them. Direct danger could mean, for example, a gun aimed at your head or at you from close vicinity, by any player. A player is not showing proper fear if they run while on foot/bike or in an unpowered vehicle and a weapon is aimed at them at close range, or if they drive into an active shootout more than once without the intent of providing cover or fleeing with it. In the evidence provided law enforcement can be observed focusing on the bank believing there to be a robbery going on, when the reported players all suddenly stream out of the store next door. This caught them off guard as they had to suddenly shift their focus. This also caused some confusion ICly and OOCly and both are having an impact on the outcome of this report. Vince_Santiago (150) was the only one who surrendered under gunpoint and for that we thank him. However, we are still issuing a ruling on him because he continued to talk on his radio under threat and ignored that threat because they were officer of the law, and even taunted them with, "Why what are you going to do?” when told to stop talking. Jemma_Smith (112) To get to your bike you had to run at it, and in so doing you should have seen Josheph_Sanchez (32) pointing his heavy weapon at you from the other side of your bike. Rufus_Briggs (50) You ignored 2 officers as you decided to drive away. Directly in front of you was Jon_McCornish (11) and to your side was Noah_Carlile (31). Billy_Breacher (81) was inadvertently still whispering as when he shifted focus to the group leaving the store, he forgot to change VOIP mode. As a result, his audible demands are not being considered valid, however his firearm is still in play. Due to this Lenox_Ellis (120) could not hear the demands from Billy but there was a point where Lenox should have been looking his direction before getting on the bike. Once on the bike however, Billy was behind him and likely not seen, but there were still 2 heavily armed LEO’s directly in front of him on his path out that were ignored. The following player(s) were found to have done nothing wrong, or are being given the benefit of the doubt due to the evidence presented: Ted_Timpson (133) while Victoria_McJohnson (104) can be seen outside the door a split second before you exited, she steps behind the vines hanging at the door and then she appears to outright vanish as you exited the store only to reappear moments later not pointing at you and thus not a threat. Additionally, due to your camera angle, you do not see the additional officers converging on you from behind your POV. You do hear a clear demand at one point, but you were already in motion and were not able to see the person giving the demand. Slim_Reaper (85) you have got to be the luckiest person alive. You appear to vanish immediately upon exiting the store by hugging the wall and jumping a wall, while all the officers appear to be focusing on the rest of your group. We cannot see any evidence in the supplied points of view that you were ever under any threat. While neither of you are receiving a punishment from this report, we would like to remind you to pay attention of your surroundings, otherwise we may be seeing you in another report in the future. If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format. This report will now be locked and archived. Regards, Senior Moderator Arrta & Supports GodDammitKopi & Syn
