Player(s) being reported: ID 27
Date of interaction reported: 05/21/2022
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1653173555

Your character name: Spencer Taylor
Other player(s) involved: N/A

Specific rule(s) broken:
Vehicle Death Matching- VDM

How did the player break the rule(s)?  (300 words maximum)\ID 27 first approached me as punching me (in the NCZ) I saw he was a "new player" so I brushed it off and ran out of the NCZ. I then pulled out my knife as a threat to him which struct no fear into him, he then came punching me. I went back at him which lead him running into the NCZ.  I then chased him into the NCZ since we did fully technically start outside the NCZ. He then took my truck and when I was taking Painkillers he came and rammed me. He then came over my body talking shit claiming his name was "Tito". He then stomped on me until I died, after respawning he came with my work truck and hit me again outside the hospital.

PENDING RESPONSE
―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――

After reviewing this report and the evidence attached to it, we have decided that this report cannot be concluded at this time. We would like to receive a response from the following player(s) to explain their side of the story:

  • @Spencer_Taylor - Spencer_Taylor (206) - We would like to ask for more context regarding the escalation and reasoning for this altercation to take place. We would also like to know why this fight took place in/just outside of an NCZ (No Crime Zone).

  • [Notified in-game] - Netito_Olagandi (27) - We would like to ask you to provide as answer to the questions above as well as providing justification behind circling around in the work vehicle and running over the reporting party, as seen in the provided evidence.

If the requested player(s) do not respond within 24 hours, this report will be concluded based on the evidence that has already been provided, to the best of our ability.

  • Well this all started by ID 27 hopping in my work truck asking what we were going to do. I told him I was gonna return this truck, he then hopped out of it and that's were everything took place. I did respect that we were in a NCZ at the time so I told him to "come on" as I moved out of the NCZ (after I was hit once already in the NCZ) . He then punched me and ran back into the zone, knowing he engaged I did follow through with fighting back. Yes it went back into the NCZ but the punch took place outside of the NCZ resulting in the "NCZ" not taking affect as a place to run away from an active RP scenario

REPORT ACCEPTED
―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, we've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following player(s):

  • Spencer_Taylor (206) - Spoken to about NRP | Fighting within the boundaries and implied area of an NCZ (No Crime Zone)
  • Netito_Olagandi (27) - NRP | Fighting within the boundaries and implied area of an NCZ (No Crime Zone)

To explain the reasoning for the NonRP punishment(s) let’s first review the parts of the NCZ rule that impacted this decision.

  • These are areas that are considered populated, extremely public, and areas that would have ample security measures such as cameras, staff, and so forth. In these areas, players may not commit any crime, but are allowed to flee, lie, or scam In-Character.
  • If a player uses the NCZ for protection the attacker must wait for that player to leave the area.
  • The block surrounding each zone is also considered.

In the evidence provided you can both be seen initiating a fight within the immediate area just outside of an NCZ and then proceeding into the boundaries of the NCZ to continue the fight.
Spencer, in your response you stated, “
Yes it went back into the NCZ but the punch took place outside of the NCZ resulting in the "NCZ" not taking affect as a place to run away from an active RP scenario.“ The issue with this statement is that it is incorrect. Just because the fight started outside, does not mean the NCZ is nullified. You did show you had a partial understanding of the rules, which is why we are issuing the spoken to.

  • Netito_Olagandi (27) - DM | Circling around and running over another player with a vehicle without valid motive

To explain the reasoning for the DM punishment let's review the parts of the DM rule that impacted this decision.

  • Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without proper IC motive and interaction. Prior interaction should include escalation such as a robbery or a report to the police.
  • Players on foot should only be attempted to be hit by a vehicle once with a valid motive.
  • Vehicles cannot be used as weapons in active shootouts unless where unavoidable.

In the evidence provided you can be seen getting into a fight with the reporting party. After getting the upper hand, stealing the work truck and leaving, you decided to circle around and returned to the scene. At which time you choose to run him over without any apparent motive to do so.
As the fight was with fists and knives, there was no active shootout and there was plenty of opportunity for you to go around him.

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.

This report will now be locked and archived.
