Unix time stamp from HUD: 1652311799

Your character name: Tom_Mathers

Specific rule(s) broken:
ID 37

14. Deathmatching (DM)

Players on foot should only be attempted to be hit by a vehicle once with a valid motive.

Vehicles cannot be used as weapons in active shootouts unless where unavoidable.

Players must be able to explain their reason and provide proof of prior reasoning if requested.

Non-Roleplay

Non-Roleplay behavior is considered as actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay.

13. Fear Roleplay (FRP)

Fear Roleplay is the concept of showing appropriate care and concern to preserve your character's safety and life. We aim for balanced gameplay through this rule, and it may not be representative of real life at times.

ID 99

Non-Roleplay

Non-Roleplay behavior is considered as actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay.

How did the player break the rule(s)?  (300 words maximum)\
ID's 37 and 99 approached me at a gas station, screaming about how they're the Rising Suns and told me to put my hands up from inside a vehicle and no weapon. Eventually they took my bag with no RP or motive so I punched one of them. The other ran me clean over and I proceeded to chase. Eventually getting the one a far enough distance away from DOC in my opinion, I began to open fire on 37. Instead of readjusting himself and driving off/evading he drove right into myself, the man that was actively shooting at him. They proceeded to log off within minutes of the scenario ending. Given their citation of rules and mentions of current factions, I am also suspicious of ban evading.

Evidence of rule breach

  • Why it can be seen that you were circling the player while they were actively shooting at you, and proceeded with running them over? Do you believe you've shown proper fear for your character's life in this situation?
  • How did ID 99 (Jafar_Afar) know the location of this incident?

Jafar_Afar | ID 99 (Notified In-Game) - Please provide your side of the story and any evidence that you may have. Additionally, please explain how you knew the location of this incident.

Hello! ID 223 here. I attempted to reason with ID 99 and ID 37, explaining on the spot how I felt rules were being broken and how they should be conducting themselves. For example stating "/b RP." In response to the lack of RP for a frisking. I don't believe I created any type of notable stall in the roleplay or toxicity. I do agree that the /b should have been kept to a minimum as I grew increasingly frustrated with the situation. I did try to keep said conduct as respectful as I could.

EDIT: Going to try and minimize /b in the future along with less complaining. Not great to conduct good RP.

Im ID 99. Just created an account to post a response, I usually try to avoid getting problems to this stage.

I dont see any wrong doings from my part honestly. Its dark and youre at the gas station, typical place to get robbed at. Took the bag and dipped, how else am I supposed to RP it out? Ask him in /do if I can take it from the ground? I cannot comment on what happened between these two while I was gone but I was phoned by my friend and he told me to pull up to the chop shop near jail which is precisily the location.

"For example stating "/b RP." In response to the lack of RP for a frisking". This is not justfied man.. I sent the frisk request and was typing the roleplay part but you called me out within a second to do "rp". I try occasionally talk in-game to not make it this boring 20 min long chatting session. I might be less experienced than you but it doesnt mean that I do not follow any rules or try to RP here. Its not like its my first time. Ive been robbed and I robbed plenty of players before you.

Also I dont know what makes him driving you over unrealistic. It would make sense if he drove away if you shot him from the side or behind but shooting someone within 10 meters in front of them would force any human being to try to drive you over. Just my opinion here..

hi id 37 here i thought he was going to attack my buddy and for that reason i ran him over i had no clue my friend had taken his bag from the ground since i only saw him trying to punch my friend. Also there was nop active shootout going on before he got ran over that is the first time he fires shots or pulled a gun visibly to me.  I told him multiple times to stop chasing me and asked what is he doing i just wanted to chop the car. I tried to bait him multiple times to step out of his bike so i can get out of the situation and loose him but he always got me back. At the moment i ran him over i was facing him and he started to let off shots. I dont see why would you not try to run someone over when they are shooting at you and you are facing them right next to them with a big car?

these are the rules i see i was justified on running him over

14. Deathmatching (DM)

Players on foot should only be attempted to be hit by a vehicle once with a valid motive.

Vehicles cannot be used as weapons in active shootouts unless where unavoidable.

Also my friend found me because i phoned him to come to the chop shop near prison and i remember telling this to the guy who got downed in ooc chat. Also how is it good roleplaying that you are being seen driving 130km/h offroad and trying to phone a friend to help you? (timestamp 3:20) Also doing wheelies to gain speed at 3.50? Im pretty sure that is considered non rp in a chase scenario by the rules?

9. Non-Roleplay (Non-RP)

Non-Roleplay

Non-Roleplay behavior is considered as actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay. It's difficult to interpret or understand what good roleplay can be sometimes, and we aim to steer players in the direction we want them to go through our server rules. Players are welcome to speak to staff for guidance in regard to roleplay. Some examples (not exhaustive) of Non-RP:

  • Ignoring Roleplay
  • Doing wheelies on motorcycles in chases or in other situations where the speed grants an advantage over others. (The speed boost from doing wheelies in GTA 5 is unrealistic thus it's not allowed in situations where the speed is an advantage over others). Leaning forward is fine.

edit: can bee seen using phone from 4:30 for a long time while chasing me with a bike going 140??? I really dont see this as quality roleplay more like trying to seek out revenge in anyway possible that shouldnt be done in a roleplay server

I wheelied for approximately 3 seconds and do not believe I wheelied another time after that. If the intention was to abuse the wheelie to gain speed on you that's how I would've caught up to you, instead I caught up naturally as you lose a wheelie boost in moments of stopping. I will not respond unless told to otherwise!

REPORT ACCEPTED
―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, we've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following player(s):

  • Lebron_Jordans | ID 37 - Deathmatch - In the provided evidence you can be seen using your vehicle to run over an other player that was actively shooting at you. As the rules state " Vehicles cannot be used as weapons in active shootouts unless where unavoidable. ". You had plenty of time to leave the area yet chose to keep circling around seemingly baiting the other player when you knew he had hostile intentions. Not only that, when he did open fire you had plenty of possible escape routes available to you yet chose to go straight at him as he is actively shooting at you. Using vehicle as weapons provides an unrealistic advantage compared to the firearm thus why it is frown upon when used during active shots specially when avoidable. In the future during such situation it is best to simply drive away out of concern for your own safety in the face of somebody that is armed and clearly has hostile intentions.

In regards to the robbery itself, keep in mind that areas such as gas stations would realistically be very populated areas with a lot of traffic no matter what time of day. It is best to either wait until the person moves to a more secluded area or attempt to drag him out of view of the general public. We will keep this as a educational reminder since the robbery was never fully initiated otherwise this could have been seen as a Non-RP robbery.

  • Tom_Mathers | ID 223 - OOC behavior Warning - We always encourage players to try and resolves issue between each other. However it is always best to wait until the RP scene is over of at least died down depending on the situation as to not interfere or slow down the flow of RP. Also usage of /b during these situation should always be kept to a minimum and the usage of /pm should be used instead when only addressing one person as to not flood the chat box or interfere with other players in the area.

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.

Regards,
Moderator Kraah
