Josh_Vex [84] (9. NRP & 13. FRP)

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: ID 84
Date of interaction reported: 01/05/2022
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1651433714

Your character name: Clarence Vaughn
Other player(s) involved: N/A

Specific rule(s) broken:

9. Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  • Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.
  • 13. Fear Roleplay (FRP)
  • Fear RP is showing appropriate care and concern to preserve your character's safety and life.

How did the player break the rule(s)?  I was at the incident report job working on a spot, a few players come up, we engage in some conversation, and 1 player makes a joke about someone being too warm, and then ID 84 intentionally walks to the fire saying "nah, I need to warm up a little bit" and can appear to intentionally walk through the fire. From my POV is seems like the player broke the NRP rule by seemingly trying to entertain his friends OOCly instead of staying in character, by doing this the player performed an unrealistic action by intentionally walking through fire, which also feels like a breach of another rule, 13. FRP, by not showing appropriate amounts of value for their life.

Evidence of rule breach

Hello, I just wanted to start off by saying that this report feels a little silly. I personally don't see this being enough of a rule breach to warrant a report, I think it could have been resolved not only faster, but more effectively with a simple PM to me as shown by this:

Quote

Please do not take reporting another player lightly and reserve player reports for situations that have caused severe loss or were abused for benefit. Consider if you could possibly teach this player or if you've tried to come to a resolution on your own. Reporting another player should be reserved for your final options when a rule breach has occurred.

I don't take rule breaches lightly, as my year-old clean record shows. I do understand that it could be considered a rule breach, however. I only thought of it as a little joke which I've seen plenty of times. I only did it because it gets done in real life, regardless of how dumb it is. I'd also like to point out that it's an incredibly insignificant fire, obviously this would not have happened if it were any larger.

REPORT DENIED

In the footage provided, Josh_Vex is shown making a joke about needing to warm up before walking over fire at the incident job. This is clearly a poor choice in decision making, however not a rule break and their choice did not affect anyone present.

We would also like to remind the reporting party that player reports are made for serious matters where substantial loss has occurred. The guidelines are as follows:
“Please do not take reporting another player lightly and reserve player reports for situations that have caused severe loss or were abused for benefit. Consider if you could possibly teach this player or if you've tried to come to a resolution on your own. Reporting another player should be reserved for your final options when a rule breach has occurred.”

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.
