(300 words maximum)\ The player first tried getting into my car multiple times whilst it was pretty much locked, abusing game mechanics to try and get into the car, as you can see in the clip there is no regard for rp. just this dude trying his hardest to get whatever is in the car. After he successfully got the radio out of my car he then ran over to his car that had his friends in. I chased him down with a bottle to scare him but made no demands, hitting the car as they drove away. one of his friends didn't get in the car so I attempted to chase him down and get some information out of him, only then do I get ran over by his car, a clear attempt at vdm. Wildablaze Posted April 23, 2022 Report Share Posted April 23, 2022 First of all thanks for reviewing this report @Kraah Hello Dave Wood here ID 102 I know I didn't have to respond but I believe these ID's who performed the robbery failed rp as they spammed f to get into the vehicle , broke risk vs reward as it is a public space and they don't even know if the victim had anything . Please explain your rationale for doing so. Do you believe your actions were realistic? This particular incident the reporting party and me were having an argument minutes prior to him getting work done at LSC which he has not shown and instead opted for a very small clip of the entire situation which led into me trying to steal things from his vehicle. There were many things the reporting party could of done to prevent me from doing this. He could of rp'ed just opening the driver side door which would of prevented me from opening the passenger door or he could of rped blocking the door with his body preventing me from opening it. I would agree that it is unrealistic had I of been trying to get into the driver seat but as I was just going for the passenger seat I believe that my actions were realistic. As in real life when you use a FOB to unlock a car it unlocks all doors. Why did you back over Anthony_Valentine? Please explain your motive. In the footage provided I had two reasons for backing over the reporting party. First being that he attempted to stab me with a bottle. He claims that he aimed for the vehicle but it is clear in the footage provided that he aimed for me but missed. The reporting party also claims he was trying to scare me but if he was doing that why would he try to stab me? Secondly he chased after my friend and gave him demands to stop. He claims he was only going to stop him to get information but from my characters POV he tried to stab me and then chased my friend and gave him demands and chased him with a weapon. So I backed into him to give my friend an opportunity to get into the van and us to flee. Please provide any POV that you have. I will happily make a longer clip showing i had no interaction with you at all prior to this, the same group of people sit at lsc attempting to do the same thing to anyone getting a repair. you are part of that group. I clearly made no demands as I didn't intended to hurt you in any way just to scare you. After looking at the footage in hindsight I do think I could have handled this situation better and it is something to learn from to promote good roleplay. Having said that from suggestions I made in my original post such as rply only opening the driver door or blocking the passenger door there were multiple ways to counter what I was doing. Kraah Posted April 25, 2022 Report Share Posted April 25, 2022 REPORT ACCEPTED ――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――― After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, we've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following player(s): David_Bingley (157) - NonRP- From the evidence presented, you are seen repeatedly attempting to enter Anthony_Valentine's vehicle as he was unlocking the vehicle so the mechanic at LSC could perform work on his vehicle. For Non-RP, and this specific report, a Non-RP covers "actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay". In your inquiry, you have explained the realism of your actions, such as the use of a key fob unlocking all doors, which realistically would allow you to enter the vehicle. However, regarding the quality of roleplay displayed here, this is of poor quality. Anthony_Valentine was engaged in roleplay with ID 102 (LSC mechanic) to get work done on his vehicle. The script requires the mechanic to get into the vehicle to play through the RP of sending a mechanic invite, and completing the requested work. It is at this time, you approach the vehicle to attempt to enter the vehicle. You are inserting yourself into the RP between Anthony_Valentine and ID 102 effectively without any RP. In your response, you did provide several ways Anthony_Valentine could have RPed this to prevent you from entering his vehicle, and while these are feasible options, your actions to initiate these opportunities were entirely void of RP. To briefly touch on motive, player theft and robbery requires players to consider risk vs. reward. You were attempting to engage in a high risk event (public space, unmasked) with unknown (eventually discovered to be low) reward. Ultimately, you were using the script's effect on unlocking all doors to your advantage, which is very poor quality roleplay. For deathmatching, and this specific report, a deathmatching is related to attacking Anthony_Valentine with your vehicle. The evidence shows Anthony_Valentine chasing ID 66 with a broken bottle after ID 66 failed to get into your vehicle. While in pursuit of ID 66, you back over Anthony_Valentine, knocking him down to allow ID 66 to get back into your vehicle. In reviewing the justification for this attack, we must review the motive and escalation. The evidence shows you had the proper motive by assisting your ally (ID 66) get away from this situation without harm. The escalation is also proper. You stole property from Anthony_Valentine, who gave chase to you, and attempted to attack you / your vehicle in response. After getting away, Anthony_Valentine proceeded to chase your friend, and you responded by attacking him. We believe this is proper motive and escalation. If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.
