Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: ID 206
Date of interaction reported: 15/APR/2022
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1650051848

Your characters name: Tim Havlicek
Other player(s) involved: Jeff Babatunda

Specific rule(s) broken:

9. Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  • Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.
  • Players are required to remain IC at all times. RP can only be paused or voided by admins.
  • If a crash / disconnect occurs, players must post in the crash reports discord channel and contact all parties to resume. Players reconnecting must be given all opportunities held prior.
  • Players should not instigate situations they do not have time to play through. If a player is chased they must wait 15 minutes before they can log out of the game.
  • Players can’t depict their character with real images or game images not possible on ECRP.
  • Non-off road vehicles may not drive up mountains or steep hills. LSEMS & Mechanics are exempt.
  • Examples:
    • Ignoring RP,
    • baiting government services without proper IC reason,
    • asking to be killed or forcing your own death,
    • unrealistic stunt jumping,
    • misusing expensive vehicles,
    • using script work vehicles for other purpose,
    • submerging any vehicle in water intentionally,
    • swimming for an unrealistic amount of time in a chase,
    • stealing from / tampering with an OOC F4 menu,
    • or using a vehicle to block doors (i.e. a bank or a store).

13. Fear Roleplay (FRP)

  • Fear RP is showing appropriate care and concern to preserve your character's safety and life.
  • If a player's life is in direct danger they must RP adequate fear and comply with demands.
  • If an attacker lowers their weapon to type, victims which were under fear RP remain as so.
  • A player is not showing proper fear if they run while on foot/bike or in an unpowered vehicle and a weapon is aimed at them at close range, or if they drive into an active shootout more than once without the intent of providing cover or fleeing with it.
  • A player still has the option to react if they are in a powered vehicle, if they already have a weapon drawn facing their attacker, or if their attacker's view is obstructed by an object.

How did the player break the rule(s)?
The player was wanted in connection to a kidnapping of an Officer and after I attempted to get him off his bike to make an arrest - the individual fled as I pointed my weapon at him while he was stationary, point blank - responding with 'what the fuck' as I instructed him to get off his bike. Later, during the pursuit, 206 drove their bike into the water and swam for an unrealistic amount of time before attempting to drown himself as heard in the POV. The reported party claimed they have saved their footage and that the reason they drove off was 'because you had to reason to pull a gun on me' - as seen in the 2nd clip.

Hello. The first link shows a part of the pursuit where the suspect drives their bike into the water as heard through communication - relevant to the 2nd clip in the provided evidence section of the report. The second link is part of the chase in the water where the suspect goes onto land and then back into water again. Previously, through communication, it was verified there were no boats present in the area that would aid his escape.

Well, first off good evening and thank you for taking this report Wolokai. I want to apologize as an experienced player in this server I shoulda just done better and it was honestly just terrible timing and I messed up for real. As for the fear Rp I was genuinely confused why I was having a gun pulled on me, prior to me being pulled over I was never directly involved with the hostage situation like said "The player was wanted in connection to a kidnapping of an Officer and after I attempted to get him off his bike to make an arrest"   I was in a komoda only driving around the scene as a civilian spectator as there was a lot others doing so. I was told by police that I need to leave the scene as the area is dangerous, not having any knowledge of me being apart of the group I was told several times before I was pulled over a few blocks clearly away from the scene, Both officers hopped out the car and I felony evaded which is not seen in the footage provide. But in his POV he's not 100% sure himself what I was wanted for and pulled a gun on me. which is why I respond with what I did in PMS and was just a quick dumb response but I was evading and eating.  I was driving a komoda with a clown mask and a completely different outfit. Once I escaped and changed clothes, I ran to Mors from my house, grabbed my bf then headed back too make sure the last two people who were involved could escape but by the time I got over there everyone was leaving. This is when was seen by the officer on the BF and was pulled over. The only reason my reactions were laid back and chill cause I figured my License would have to be claimed before anything wild happens since I was in completely different apparel/vehicle. Also heard in the POV I was eating a sandwich and my hands were away from the keyboard. When cops pull you over they usually swarm you with back up and surround you, hence why I paid no mind to the officer in front of me and was expecting an officer to come out the car behind me. That in mind I thought I could snag a bite of my sandwich and continue my RP before the officer would get out his car and ask for my license or felony evade again if he had instantly pulled a gun. By the time I could put my hands back to my mouse and keyboard I knew I was fucked and what I did was wrong by pulling off but it was just my first reaction while mid-bite. Which is a terrible excuse but its really what was happening. drove their bike into the water and swam for an unrealistic amount of time before attempting to drown himself as heard in the POV  . As for this part, I felt like the chase was getting no where since they were on me aggressively and thought swimming and dropping my bag to the bottom of the ocean would be the only way to spend less years in prison, I'm terrible when it come to evading and don't ever usually do it as a character. I Never "Attempted to drown myself" I was only trying to juke the officer and realized I went to deep WHILE trying to respond to your PM at the worst time. Which I agree was dumb but I did not intentionally kill myself to void the RP. With the swimming I was making sure to surface and get fresh air constantly and as well went back to land to give myself a breather and try to make a juke by jumping back in, but failed. Like said before all said above is not an excuse for me to rule break, I had just had been put under Hella pressure in the wrong time and did not perform accordingly. I apologize again and hope you all have a good night, all punishments received as deemed rule breaks I will take willingly as I am an experienced player in this server.

REPORT ACCEPTED
―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, we've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following player(s):

  • Byrese_Bridge (206) - Non-RP x2 - In the footage/POV/Testimony provided, you can be seen driving away while on a bike during a time in which an individual had a gun pointed directly at you at dangerously close proximity. In addition, after subsequent investigations, it was determined that you were injured as result of an overly prolonged pursuit within water in attempts to evade LEO custody. Both of these instances of play are against the rules in terms of both Fear Roleplay and general Non Roleplay. Within the contexts of this situation, if you are being held at gunpoint at close distance while on a motorcycle, you are expected to comply under the guidelines of Fear Rp as they would realistically apply to your character. In addition, while fleeing into the water can be potentially a viable tactic, in this context with prolonged exposure to the water and no general means of escape besides swimming back to shore into custody, the actions that have taken place here are not realistic as they pertain to the rules for Non-Roleplay.

  • As you've stated in the above testimony, you understand what you have done wrong and how it was negligent of both your character's general safety and that of the server rules. Please keep these points in mind in the future, and remember that even if you make a mistake in the moment, you do not have to persist. I would encourage in situations like these that LEO and criminal roleplayers attempt a resetting of the scene or an open discussion about situations similar to these, utilizing both /report and available staff if necessary to help mediate and reset situations such as these. All players involved should keep these points in mind for the future.

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.
