How did the player break the rule(s)? 

I was with a few members of my crew in a car when the usual verbal RP started between my friends and a few bsb members. As this discussion started boiling over, I did not want any part of it and left the car, and called a taxi so that I could start my DCC shift. I didn't want any part in that escalation. BSB should have no knowledge of my connections with Void, as I had already been NLR'd by BSB and was trying to keep out of any beef. I would like to reinforce the fact, that this was not some random killing that I was NLR'd from. BSB had previously taken my mask off, checked my ID and then killed me. This clearly shows a valid NLR killing. Here is the unix timestamp of that interaction : 1648871102

As I was waiting for the taxi, two bsb members pulled up and kidnapped me. I was not really sure about the ruling about this and did not want to restrict anyone's rp, so I went along with it. However, unfortunately, ID 98 proceeds to perform GrossRP (Torture) without my consent. The ID in question has over 400k xp, so I would have expected them to know about this. I tried to solve this OOCly with the reported party through PMs. I was hoping to get the RP voided by an admin after, as I did not want to have to RP this life-changing injury. Unfortunately, the player never responded to me and this is why I have brought it to the forums.

ID 98 Bruce Hardings here, thanks to staff for taking this report. Before I start I want to apologize to staff and the reporting party if I can’t recollect every detail from this rp situation. I’m currently out of town on vacation so I do not have pov to show all the details. This situation began when after a short altercation between me and a 4 stack void car that Evie was in. This led up to Void pulling on me about 5 seconds after Evie left the car. The Void car decided to run away from us so I made the decision to take Evie hostage as a way to negotiate some money or guns from Void. After securing Evie in a location Melody Rogers, a close ally to us, acted as a middle man to negotiate with Void. Void was not happy about this and decided to hunt down Melody instead of negotiating. They were eventually able to get Melody, leaving her to act as a hostage for them. A bsb member had got in contact with a member from Void and we were informed they had cut off 1 of Melody’s fingers. We retaliated by cutting of one of Evie’s fingers, leading to this report.

For why I did not pm the reporting party, honestly I just forgot and was unaware that cutting a finger off counted as “gross rp”. In my opinion this report is not made with the intent to educate, but with the intent to punish which unfortunately is a trend when encountering this faction. Every encounter BSB has had with them has resulted in them reporting, and this situation is no different. In Evie’s pov I make it very apparent that I would cut one of her fingers off. Instead of pming me sharing she was uncomfortable, BEFORE the rp, Evie waited minutes after the rp was done to tell me to save my footage which insinuates she baited the report. To add, Evie pmed me after the situation saying something along the lines of “If you want an admin to void the rp I won’t report”. This clearly shows that she was not uncomfortable or unwanting of the rp, she just wants me to get punished. If staff has any more questions please let me know!

• Bruce_Hardings - Gross RP Warning - In the footage provided, Bruce_Hardings can be seen RPing cutting the finger off of Evie_Derose as part of torture RP without asking for prior consent through PMs or /b of everyone involved. It is important to remember that such consent needs to be acquired from everyone involved and everyone that is able to see the /me's and the surrounding roleplay in the incident. It is also important to remember that if, at any point during the roleplay, any involved player is made uncomfortable by the roleplay happening, they should make it known and this needs to be respected by everyone involved, adjusting their roleplay accordingly to respect every player involved.
