These two players drove up, did not say anything, and one drew an UZI right before gunning one person down and driving away. There was no RP buildup to lead to shooting to kill.

Hello Athena Cromwel here.

I can see how this can look confusing to some other person and think there was no build up or prior RP. Especially, when they were not present during the multiple interactions, we had with ID 21 prior to this situation.

 

Earlier, Domonic Maxwell and I went to Burgershot to get some food. Domonic waited in the car and I went inside. I was placing my order and ID 21 interrupted/yelled aren’t you that bitch that got smoked in front of Burgershot? We exchanged words. I stood there thought about what he just said and went to go get Domonic Maxwell to tell him the encounter I had. That’s when we pulled off and went into an alleyway. We went back Domonic Maxwell went inside burgershot with me, made ID 21 put his hands up for calling me a bitch and accusing me of getting smoked. We left. Domonic Maxwell said he called the police and we decided to change cars and I changed my outfit. We were sitting near the clothing store and noticed the cops pulled up to ID 21 and waited for them to drive off. We pulled up and Domonic shouted snitches get stitches and shot him. Cops chased us and we evaded.

I think there was enough escalation here. ID 21 called the wrong person a bitch, Domonic Maxwell went into burgershot threatened ID 21 for accusing his girl of getting smoked and calling her a bitch, ID 21 was talking to the cops, Domonic and I saw the cops pull away from ID 21, we pulled up and he got shot for all of the above reasons. Cops arrived, chased us and we evaded.

Again it would look like DMing to a person who was not around during the entire situation and also would like to point out that no one asked us to save POV or ask to resolve this situation prior to bringing it to forums.

I have more POV of everything else if needed, but this is the main escalation below.

Thats what happened but I just dont think that calling someone a bitch was enough escalation to kill me considering I didnt even call the cops it was someone else.

Going make nice and quick

My girl comes out Burgershot makes clear some dude just disrespected her. -> I pulled out my weapons. -> I enter burger shot make some threats. -> Hear someone call police I we flee.-> Switch cars come back, see  the victim talking with police for a few moments. -> I spin the block make sure police are not still close to the scene. -> I get out down the victim with my micro. Say snitches get stiches and begin evading as cops returned to the scene. Don't have POV of first have situation but it can be found in Athena's response.

 

Also would just like to ask if reporting party made any attempt to ask the victim/ Anyone on scene OOC if it was a rule break or if there was any prior RP. Before making this Accusation/Report, Only ask this cause if I had not felt like this situation was a good memory to be saved. I may not have had this POV ready. And concerns me if this was all made on just the assumptions one might take form just viewing the reporting parties POV. As your report doesn't mention attempting to gain anymore information then what you saw after coming to scene for a short period of time. If it is case I would implore you to reach out OOC and in PM's before making assumptions of rule breaking. There could be a thousands reason I had DM rights on the victim, that people may be not aware of during witnessing what could look like a random act of violence(DM).

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, we've decided to accept this report and issue these punishments to the following player(s):

• Domonic_Maxwell (ID 41) - DM Punishment | You will be receiving a DM punishment.  From the evidence presented, you kill another player after this player made comments to your significant other.  To kill another player, there must be an appropriate amount of escalation to justify doing so.  In reviewing the escalation here, we see the initial incident where ID 21 made the comments about ID 99.  ID 99 immediately goes outside to inform you what happened, and you go into Burgershot to hold ID 21 at gunpoint, and make some threats.  Afterwards, you both leave to change clothes and car, and return to the area around Burgershot to see if police were called and see ID 21 speaking with police, with no knowledge that ID 21 was the one who called, or what was reported.  It is entirely possible the call to law enforcement was about something entirely unrelated, as there was no RP or escalation to determine what the nature of the call was.   As a reminder, the text in chat where ID 54 police cannot be used  (it’s grayed out, which means it was out of your ear shot, so you wouldn’t hear it). We do not believe negative comments made about ID 21 + seeing ID 21 talking to police is enough escalation to support killing ID 21. You did not have solid base of what was going on and the reason for the police to be there. Along that, you were the one to initiate the situation publicly and calling the police is the least expected thing.
