  1. The title is pretty self explanatory, since working at Bayview I've noticed how many dumb mech requests we get with just 1 letter that get cancelled straight away by people only doing it to see how many are on duty. It's weird and feels kinda MGish. When you use /mechanic, it should just say that mechanics have received your request and tell you when 1 responds to the request. It's weird that it tells you exactly how many are on duty at any given time.
  2. There is definitely something to be desired in the way things are set up at the moment with LEO using TS, it's not perfect but it's essential. As has been mentioned previously, it's vital for supervisors who are essentially acting dispatchers to be able to see who is involved in which situation but as it stands at the moment, there is no way to see who exactly is tuned into a certain frequency so managing units and allocating them to the situations that is required would be an absolute ball-ache. Maybe if there was a way to visibly see who was tuned into which frequency via the script then sure but that would still leave a lot to be desired. As it stands at the moment, it's not ideal but it works and it's a necessary tool for LEO and emergency workers to function properly. If we were striving to make things "fair" and "realistic" then I ask you, how many people do you see using a radio in real life outside of Law Enforcement and Emergency Workers. I for 1 have never seen anybody walk around with a radio in their ear when their job doesn't require it. tldr; TS, Radios and TAC are not perfect, require some fixing and tweaking but it's necessary for those factions to function.

    Salvation

A Test Of Trust Screeching tires and the aroma of burning rubber fill the air, 4 vehicles come hurtling around the corner, neck and neck to the finish line arranged in a fashion that resembles a well choreographed dance of heaps of metal and grinding gears. Felix slaps the timer on his dashboard and offers himself a small nod of approval as if that makes any difference, "2 minutes 42" he ponders for a short second, "Not amazing but improvements are being made" he continues, almost like he is trying to convince himself of the fact. His brief moment of thought is broken by the sound of a familiar, Italian voice that he had not heard for what feels like an age. "No. Fucking. Way" the female exclaims. Felix looks up, his face snapping onto the the woman's features. "Fuck..." he mutters to himself under his breath. A wall of bodies block the way, each person attempting to talk to the Detective, her gaze does not break from Felix for a second, a burning anger fills her eyes. He walks towards the cruiser and leans into it, before his lips could part to even mutter a word to her, "What's the matter? Rooks not good enough? Mama Pavlovich didn't do it for you?". Felix thinks for a short moment, unable to formulate a sentence, all he can opt for is "Hello, Grace...". Even more furious at his lack of effort she exclaims louder "You disappear for a year, you don't say a single word to me and the best you can come up with is 'Hello'?", her rant his cut short by Chase stepping behind Felix, he leans over and states in a calm manner "What ever you guys have, take it elsewhere". Felix tilts his head back and acknowledges Chase before turning his attention back to Grace. "You free right now? I owe you an explanation." he says, in a softer voice this time. She offers him no nod nor shake of the head, she simply states "Great Ocean Highway pier, the small 1. Don't be late". Felix immediately walks to his vehicle and heads to the destination, the feeling of burning eyes searing into the back of his head not gone unnoticed by him. He'll deal with that when he gets back. Felix arrives at the location, determined to be there first. He casually walks half way down the pier and finds a small spot, leaning his body weight onto the rail as he closes his eyes and takes the moment of silence to enjoy the fresh sea air, allowing it to fill his lungs before exhaling out. Lifting his watch parallel with his eyes he looks at the time as he gradually becomes impatient of waiting, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes pass before he finally hears the arrival of a vehicle at the entrance of the small pier. His gaze remains onwards out to the ocean, enjoying the last few moment of peace before he knew an awkward conversation was about to ensue. Without Hesitation Grace lashes out at Felix, she strikes him on the left side of his face with her right palm, he does not react, accepting the slap as justified punishment for his actions. He returns his gaze to her with a apologetic look, she continues to lash out "Asshole! You were the 1 who set all this in motion, you were the 1 who inspired me to become a Detective and then you treat me like that!". Her fists would fall to her side as she clenches them. "You could have called me, you could have told me you were leaving. You didn't say a word, you just left..." her voice would be more sombre and cold this time, the anger draining away from her. Felix exhales the breath he had been holding in the entire time that she was scolding him. "I'm sorry" he says shakily. "I don't know what else to say, I didn't know what to say." The conversation would continue, the tension beginning to ease and having got her answers her eyes would turn to the colour of his coat. "So you're Salvation now?" she asks as a matter of fact. Unconvincingly Felix shakes his head before her questions continue, he almost begins to answer before realising what she was doing. He smiles to himself before stating "I see I trained you well" he takes another breath in "this was a personal meeting and I wish for it to stay like that. I respect you and I hope you got the answers you needed". Felix pushes his weight against the railing and turns on his foot before making his way to the entrance of the pier, tilting his head to the side slightly looking behind him to see if Grace was following. The drive back to the HQ was a long 1, "time to go and face the music" he thought to himself as he pulls into the entrance. The glaring eyes of Donnie and Jackie meet his, their arms crossed in a defensive stance. "Fuck..." he exclaims to himself once more, "only 1 day in and already having secret meetings with Detectives" he laughs uncomfortably to himself. What unfortunate timing. He reassures the couple that nothing was said that shouldn't have been but he chooses to leave out the part where he almost slipped up. "There is no need to rock the boat any more than I already have" he thinks to himself as he continues to explain what events had transpired to the 2 that watched on with eager, un-trustful eyes. These eyes were no stranger to Felix, trust needs to be earned, even more so for somebody with his particular... background.

    Salvation

The Ropes Felix jolts up in his bed, awoken by the sound of crashing thunder; his mind still goes back to the day of his cousin Reggie's funeral, the fateful day that pushed him to pursue the path he is on. The words of the priest as they lower his casket down into that final, 6 foot grave. His eyes open once more, somehow having made it to the bathroom in his half asleep state he cups his hands, filling them with warm water and begins to splash his face before looking at his reflection, water droplets dripping from the tip of his nose "7770 to Dispatch" he smirks. Before he has a chance to finish his thoughts he hears his phone ping, his eyes turning to the corner of the room and then back to his reflection. He closes his eyes and sighs before continuing about his routine. "No time for peace" he mutters to himself. Upon arriving at the pre-determined location he is greeted by his new family, the pleasantries are cut short by the arrival of who the others refer to as "Widow". "Listen up people!" she exclaims, "Today we are doing some training, I don't care if you think you are good, this isn't optional". Felix smirks to himself under his mask, the others had been hesitant on getting to know Felix considering his background, which he always expected but finally something he can prove his worth at. His thoughts were cut short once again by Widow "give us your GPS's, we will call out locations and you will make your own way there" she continued "too often are we blindly following our GPS and just sticking to the line and this needs to change". Felix was very familiar with this, it's basic pursuit protocol to not just follow your GPS, that with his experience as a pilot he was extremely comfortable with this task. Locations were reeled off 1 after the other, to avoid people following each other they were told to go in a staggered pace. Felix would usually be 1 of the first to arrive, slowly followed by his peers 1 at a time. Sometimes a few would get lost but that's completely okay. "It's easy to forget that everybody has to start somewhere" he thinks to himself as he waits for the others to arrive at each location, "A little wet behind the ears but these are good people and that is what is important" he continued. The day continued but with increasing improvement, he was happy with the progress and even more so happy to have a chance to prove his experience has value. The day drew to a close, people made their excuses and left to attend to other responsibilities before only a handful were left, as dusk began to draw in the mood turned naturally solemn, 1 voice broke the small conversations that were being had, "Who's up for a race?". Immediately Felix looks up, his eyes peering upwards in a moment of pondering, he had always considered himself a competent driver. He interrupted his own thoughts by exclaiming without hesitation "Fuck it, why not". As pushes down on the balls of his feet, turning on the spot and heading towards his vehicle a brief moment of reminisce overcomes him, beginning with a tingle in his stomach, working its way up his spine and finally to the hairs on the back of his neck. "Reggie would have liked this".
  5. Date and Time: 7 September 2021 - 12:33 UTC Character Name: Axel Sutherland Issue/bug you are reporting: The marked Crown Victoria struggles to hit 170 and is very sluggish. This happened since the most recent restart, prior to the restart the vehicle was working as intended. Expected Behaviour: It should be able to hit speeds of 210+ with decent acceleration. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Go on duty as SD (perhaps PD also), create a unit, go to the parking lot and type /fspawn sheriff (/fspawn police for PD). https://streamable.com/32lyx3 EDIT: Looks like all the fspawn vehicles are broken, for SD at least.
  6. MISTAKES The shift started as it normally would for Deputy Sutherland, the sun lays low in the sky as he punches his employee number into the clocking in machine; he opens his locker and removes his uniform, sliding into it as he has done hundreds of times, he turns his attention to the lower section of his locker and removes his SED deployment bag, slinging it over his shoulder before turning to the armoury and removing the firearms he is certified to use, placing them into the bag along with a few magazines of extra ammunition. As he walks through the hallway of Paleto Station, slowly making his way to the coffee machine, not caring whether the jug is fresh nor cold a loud voice booms over the radio "THEY'RE TAKING SOMEBODY HOSTAGE!! THEY'RE SHOOTING!! CODE 1 TAC 1!!" Axel instantly pushes himself on the balls of his feet towards the parking lot "GET ME A KAMACHO!!" he shrieks at Betty "the miserable old bitch is pushing 90, she'll be dead soon" he thinks to himself as he ponders his tone, the care miniscule compared to the fear he has for his colleague. Betty brings a set of keys over to him, her hands shaking and weary with time, seconds feel like minutes as the adrenaline begins to course through his veins, he holds back an outburst to tell her to hurry up. He throws his bag into the back of the Kamacho and removes his Marksman Rifle, placing a magazine inside and cocking back the lever, allowing a bullet to enter the chamber, Axel flips it onto it's side ensuring the safety is on and placing it onto his lap as he jumps into the drivers seat. The gate to the parking lot swings open as he punches it to the location of the call "11 ROMEO 11 is code 3" he exclaims over the radio as he toggles his radio to the TAC-1 channel. The shots fired had now turned into a pursuit of a white Brawler, registered owner came back to a "Sumana Saman" a well known Russian affiliate, he knew instantly things could turn ugly at a moment notice as he cruises across Sandy Shores Airfield, gently caressing his marksman rifle. There was a lot of back and forth over the radio, it was imperative that we did not lose this vehicle, everybody was giving their all and the decision was made to transfer the pursuit over to Joint TAC and request assistance from the Los Santos Police Department, we knew the Russians were crafty but we had grown wise to their tricks. The pursuit headed towards the old Azteca HQ, we knew exactly what they were planning "DO NOT LET THEM INTO THE STORM DRAIN!" Axel hears Detective Roth shout "THEY WILL HAVE A BF-400 SET UP!", suddenly the pursuit that had been relatively easy to keep up with turned high stakes, a unit immediately forced his cruiser into the entrance of the storm drain before the Brawler had a chance to make his way down "BOX HIM IN" is heard booming over the radio from a voice unfamiliar to Axel. It was done, the pursuit was over, the 10-15 was caught, Axel immediately jumps from his Kamacho and climbs a nearby building to gain a vantage point, these Russians will not give up so easily. Not much attention is paid to what is being said over the radio, Deputy Sutherland had his eyes trained on the area around the scene, calling any and every vehicle he see's, Sumana would not evade justice, not on his watch. Suddenly a voice is heard, an older gentleman, voice huskier than his age would suggest "WHO THE FUCK HAS THE GUN!?" Sheriff Kirk shouts, Axel instantly raises his firearm and looks down onto the scene through his scope, wondering what the fuck is going on. "He had a gun on his hip and now it's gone, who the fuck has it?!" he exclaims once more. The Cadet who searched him states he did not see a firearm on his, just .50 ammo, "Weird" Axel thinks to himself, "Ammo without a gun" he mutters to himself. Nobody owned up to taking the gun, a corrupt officer on the scene? Sheriff Kirk orders all deputies and officers to line up against the wall to be searched, if nobody wanted to own up to taking the gun then we would find it the hard way. 1 by 1 deputies and officers were lined up against the wall, cuffed and searched. Axel had been a Deputy for 7 years, first with the Oklahoma Sheriff's Department and now with the Los Santos Sheriff's Department and not once has he been cuffed "This is degrading" he mutters to himself. "I have made a terrible MISTAKE" You hear from the nearby Cadet who originally searched Sumana "I thought the firearm was just the ammo" he states, clearly embarrassed by his blunder. "How did he mistake a gun for just ammo" Axel thinks to himself, this Cadet was on his final evaluation, perhaps the pressure got to him and he had a minor mental breakdown "Who are we to judge", the tense atmosphere had now toned down into a myriad of jokes and laughter. "Isn't it bizarre how a scene can flip so quickly and so dramatically" Axel says to himself, as he drives back towards his jurisdiction.
