  1. The Underground had grown complacent with their spot in Los Santos as one of the few tribes with connections to the Cartel. The gang of Anarchists thrived within the shroud of chaos and itched from the addiction of adrenaline... "By the end of the month, The Pit will be finished." The Underground had come a long way from their humble beginnings. It was a bittersweet feeling looking back at their old memoirs and seeing how simple things were. The occasional chase with LSPD or shootout with whatever gang was targeting them that month... The memories were forever etched into their hearts. The fun for The Underground was the beautiful moments in between it all, from smoking weed to fist fights, from hosting events to selling guns... It was The Underground's time to give back to the community once again. The Cartel had given the family of Anarchists access to a room with dim-lit lights and a small ladder inside of it. As they crawled down and slowly moved furniture into the hole, they set up a private gun range and pit... A pit accessible to finally finish business between groups for good, or to finish off whatever was left of anyone deemed corrupt. Melody smiled down at the ladder and thought about how far they had come... From the very beginning to now, and for many, many more years to come. "Respect our existence, or expect resistance."
  2. I'm glad to see you guys finally made a faction thread. Much love from The Underground
  3. There's weeks of RP going into each of these events, for the record. We took her hostage in a private room below the actual gov building with zero witnesses, and by all means did it with a purpose as we have been after the information we finally got there for months on end. I won't disclose that information due to possible metagaming, but you can ask Hope Kant OOCly as to rather or not she enjoyed the event and she confirmed that with me as well. We've done a lot of RP with SAGOV, from things minor and major, from threats to full blown protests turned riots. While yes we ICly "don't like the police", each time we have ever done this has been in response of something LSPD has done to us. The most recent graffiti was actually due to an officer deciding to Fortnite emote on an injured member they had just gunned down. All of my organizations RP is typically retaliatory, minus the occasions where we are just hanging out and being typical low-income criminals and breaking into things. My faction is late night NA hours, but I do try to get RP rolling earlier than our peak hours solely so we CAN interact with PD. My faction isn't trying to win every encounter, we're just trying to have fun and provide unique scenarios for the server to interact with. We try to think outside of the box and give LSPD things to do that isn't always going to end up in the same old shootout and chase. If anything, we try to go out of our way to for LEOs to gain RP. Yes, the community would most likely be at an outrage at that point. The reason they'd be outraged wouldn't be because "well we want justice for the Anarchist gang", they'd be outraged because if LSPD can do that to us; they can do it to anyone. Eclipse is one big community, or at least it should be; and pushing things beyond certain limits quite literally does nothing but make people scared to lose things they love and hold dear. If you're allowed to do all of these things listed, why wouldn't you be able to do it to factions that can come up? Why even make anymore factions at all? I don't want to be the driving force that says "ooga booga LSPD OP" and begin preaching about how crim RP is already being suppressed because I'm a firm believer in just everyone having fun and trying to tell stories, but once you begin taking/seizing assets; you'd effectively just be scaring off even more of the crim population. The conversation isn't about my faction or your faction; it's about furthering stories and that's my point. I'm sorry you may not see my side or that you believe I'm not seeing some bigger picture, but you haven't painted that picture for me at all so I lack the ability to see it. While I think some areas would benefit from being NCZs such as Pillbox and Paleto MD solely due to them being the only body dropoffs and script limitations (not being able to lock your car while carrying a body so people can ransack your car, we can't simply drive through with an injured like MD does to drop off an injured person, etc) but even then I'm not for re-adding them as NCZs because even inconvenient petty theft or stealing a car from me can evolve into actual storylines with other factions or people that could potentially be very fun and rewarding. I only give a -1 here because No Crime Zones are just that... No CRIME Zones. I want to commit crimes. I don't want Mission Row, the Gov building, or anywhere else to make me think "I really wish I could have fun and roleplay here as a criminal, but let's do the speed limit, buckle my seatbelt and wave to Lewis like a good girl." It's boring.
  4. I'm not for the inclusions of NCZs again, honestly. I'll speak my personal perspective as an illegal faction leader with official status on the matter... My faction leans heavily on being anti-PD and anti-Gov, and I'd like to believe we have brought very good RP to PD and Gov specifically. While yes we do vandalize places with RP graffiti, we also very often do events such as protests at city hall and even recently held @Buggs hostage on her character Hope Kant to gain info of the housing taxes that were supposed to be coming next year. We've even bolt-cut the gate of city hall just to smoke weed up there and vibe, talking for hours on end about our plans in the future of UG. We've even stolen medical supplies from Paleto MD RPly and emptied the medicine cabinets to help our people out before. Breaking into cars, shootings, and things of that nature have happened; yes. But there's a positive to the negative, and I personally think the positive outweighs the negative, and that's why I'd like to see them stay the way they are. People who have done things crazy like robbing people outside of Tequilala, setups at MD, but all of those to my knowledge got punished and showed that it's inappropriate. All in all, I enjoy the lack of NCZs because it allows for criminals to explore more criminal things to do without the fear of a rulebreak unless they go completely overboard.
  5. Huge +1. Another idea to add onto this is maybe just retexturing the normal bag from stores into a similar one in the picture here and allowing them to only be sold to the general public so civilians or people with training could carry them
  6. My only issue is offline raiding which isn't realistic most of the time. Most of the times I was raided, my character was "asleep" inside of the place that was raided. I do not want LEOs to have to wait for the person to be online, BUT I do want an admin to ping me for RP OPs and just hit me with a "You would get a notification on your phone that your home is being broken into!" similar to how we get them if someone is boltcutting into things. I feel like that would at least help the situation and would require next to no effort to do.
  7. Right now Crim and PD are definitely not matched in terms of power, but it's still very winnable every fight. My faction has wiped PD several times on several occasion, especially once the gun update hit and my faction is only known for being an RP faction, not shooters/clappers. At the end of the day as many people have said, you just have to play the game a bit smarter and learn from your mistakes. PD is overpowered, don't get me wrong; but changing your ways to adapt to the situation is much better than making people quit the server.
  8. I'm actually all for this but only if we can fix the rendering distance issue with helicopters. Helicopters can fly above the render distance and still see you which provides a massive advantage, plus for some reason we cant look straight upwards into the sky to see what is above you due to GTA mechanics. If we could get those two things fixed, I 100% agree that this should be implemented. Until then I think it would just cause further balancing issues and cause more complaints.
  9. -1 simply because most of the server aren't US players I'm pretty sure.
  10. Title kind of says it all. There are a ton of vehicles on the server right now that aren't able to hold bodies and definitely should be able to, including some that are very old. If needed I can attempt to gather a list of all vehicles missing trunks, but ones such as the Beater Dukes, Boor, and many from the last two car updates are still missing the ability to hold bodies which in this server is an absolute detriment to determining rather or not you want a vehicle. Plz add
  11. text me with an offer, please! 423-2733
  12. The Underground had finally set up their event without issue. Without a raffle license in hand, they thought that perhaps the LSPD would be an issue, but they never even asked about it. Melody smiled at how good the turnout for the event was, and all of The Underground had a blast with all of their friends, family, and people who showed up. It couldn't have gone better.
  13. Massive +1, being able to buy things and split them apart in a bulk manner would be a wonderful QoL update.
  14. +1, having the minigame go up to however many water bottles you have would be really nice but still not encourage people to go back to interior labs and would just eliminate opening your inventory every single bottle.
  15. I could be wrong, but I think there are reports that have been accepted for NRP for this very thing. Here's at least one I found:
  16. I mean you can put this here if you want, but the only ones that have been pushed to my knowledge are strictly OOC IAs or with an extreme amount of validation.

  18. I have never felt more strongly about a forum suggestion in my time on the server. Absolute -1. I cannot even fathom the idea of taking this IC issue OOC this heavily. If a criminal wants to IA you, leave it to your IA department to decide your consequences or to throw it out. I for one strongly disagree with IA reports entirely for my faction, but there is zero reason to involve staff over an IC issue.
  19. There's a bit of a backlog with reports atm, so it might be a bit before people get around to the appeals. Give it a bit more time, they have lives outside of Eclipse too and it's pretty frequent that things can get kinda slow due to backlogs and irl stuff happening. Don't worry, they'll get to you!
  20. I'll say that I'm not sure that they necessarily want the IC info relayed OOCly, but I will say that I think there's a big disconnect somewhere from detectives to the rest of the server. Detectives to my knowledge don't have their own scripts that they can actually use outside of very minor things like checking prints, matching bullets to guns, and tracking phones from what I understand. While I could totally be wrong on that, I genuinely don't think that they really have much else and if they do; it's very little and probably not worth mentioning here. All of the things detectives do (finding addresses, stalking crims, surveying areas, arresting crims, etc.) are pretty much available for everyone else to do, you just have to have the proper IC routes to take. Scriptly I genuinely don't think they have much more than any other cop.
  21. So currently it is against the rules to use a private group to relay information related to things such as frequencies, backup, or illegal trades. Personally I would like to see this changed, as of right now LSPD can access LiveInvader and get warrants to access these things. I believe it would be fair for criminals to use LifeInvader at their own risk and allow things to develop naturally on there, and bringing the criminal scene to LifeInvader would assist in LifeInvader's growth as well. TL;DR PD can access LifeInvader for stuff as it is, why not allow criminals to take the risk? "No illegal activities can be conducted in private groups on life invader, such as sharing radio frequencies used for criminal activities, requesting backup, and selling/buying weapons/drugs."
  22. The Underground knew time was closing in on their mission. The cage was built, wired to a car battery to ensure the target wouldn't dare escape, and in a spot no one would even consider... An old Journey. Melody built the chain linked cage from scraps and fences all throughout the city. Smaller bits of theft always played a part... But she only stole from places she knew could afford it. It was slow, but she had finally finished. It's almost time to begin again. She laid down a sarcophagus outside of the cage, smiling wide knowing that their target would be leaving in it. She put down the tank filled with a cocktail of different drugs from Humane Labs, rigging it to a single gas mask to inevitably force the victim to breath in the fumes. Melody smiled underneath her mask at her creation. "For the people."
  23. +1, imo I think legal factions should be paid near double of what they are now. It would give incentive for more civilian RP, and allow civs/LEOs to feel more valued overall. No real downsides to this as far as I could tell.
  24. Adding my two cents as I have exclusively been a criminal my entire time on Eclipse, I think the system is fairly fine the way it is with IA's. While I would not mind IA's also being looked at by LFM potentially or even handled by LFM, I think it's okay for the most part right now. I think a big issue that causes the misunderstanding of the IA system is the misuse of it. People often IA of the absolute strangest and pettiest of things, like a cop enforcing mask concealment or giving a ticket. I think that if you misuse it frequently, it's very hard to get an understanding of. An example I can give is I once IA'd an officer when I first started up on the server over them making remarks about me being trans and/or my voice. The officer was punished, and they sent an apology over to me about it. The system in place does work, speaking from experience. I wouldn't mind LFM helping out a little or overseeing stuff sometimes, but as far as I know; it works and if it works why try to fix it?
